So Good News.. Without doing anything, I used the brush again with some Harris Almond Cream. Load of lather that lasted well after the 3rd Pass. So perhaps all is well with the brush. Could it be that it is just not a good brush with soaps. I have heard of brushes that don't fair well with soaps but...

Could Barbed hair on this plisson make it behave very differently than other Plissons. This is the only one that the hair is very barbed and almost coarse when dry but soft when wet. That is the only other thing that i can think of that make it very different, baring a good cleaning

There are many possibilities other than a bad knot. What grade hair is it? How long have you used the brush? Do you lather successfully with the same soap and a different brush?
