T&H New York

Hi, all. Been gone a while.

I remember talk of a T&H store setting up in Manhattan. Anyone know if anything ever came of it?

I used to use my alum block just on nicks, till Robert shaved me at Sak's. After the shave, he wetted a block and did my whole face with it. Made quite a difference!

Sean, if you have any Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern markets nearby, check them out. I got an alum block at one for about 3 bucks!

Have you tried BB&B or The Container Store? Or a beauty-supplies store (like the Ricky's chain here in NYC)? They should have stuff.

Last week I bought a 30GB Creative Zen Vision: M (that names trips so lightly across the tongue). Essentially, it's just like the 30-gig iPod. BUT The screen displays more colors. The picture is incredible. It can play 4 hours of video, as opposed to the iPod's 2 hours, before recharging is necessar...

The brush from Baxter is a relabelled MP. I have one, and it's an okay brush, good for travel, and once-in-a-while use.

Nice piece. I started it and thought, "Oh, another of those gonna-get-a-straight-razor-shave-on-my-wedding-day stories." You gave it a nice twist: You tried to learn yourself rather than have someone shave you. But that didn't work out. "Oh, here comes the part when he makes an appoin...

There's a place called Shaving Grace, in Exton, though I don't know if they sell goods. They do shave!

Also, try Bluemercury in Center City. High-end cosmetics place that, last I was there, carried some men's stuff.

I started my whole trip by switching from canned good to Kiehl's goop, and then on to other flavors of goop. Then I bought a cheap Baxter brush. Right there, my shaves improved threefold. And I did that a long time before finally coming to the DE. So, I'd urge you to get a brush, even a cheapo badge...

I've got 2 PAL adjustables, and they arre both pretty vicious on my face. But, as the Good Doctor said, it's pretty much a crapshoot when it comes to Injector razors. Got a bunch of them too, from the 20s till the last bunch they made, and every one of them shaves differently.

"Should I worry about keeping the Gillette Blue Blades with it?" The only worry would be if you actually put one of those blades into a razor and used it. You'd mutilate your face (he wrote, having learned through painful experience). Some old blades are still usuable. Not the Blue Blades,...
