Or even a Safety Razor. 8) - Murray Hey Murray, Great suggestion! Re: I'm Back

I used to joke that the corruption of youth is one of the few remaining pleasures of old age. And in that vein, don't you think it's time to learn how to use a straight razor? C. Hello again, Dr. Moss. The idea of learning how to use a straight razor is intriguing, and I can't deny the appeal of ma...

Re: Diet soft drinks

You make me blush. Now we have to do something about that beard of yours..... :D Dr. Moss, your humourous comment brings a smile to my face! Fear not, the beard won't be a permanent fixture much longer. In fact, I'm gearing up to shave it off in a few days for a YouTube video. I look forward to sha...

Re: Cats

I'm a cat person, too. My Joey is twelve years old and he was a rescue. Someone dumped him, as a small kitten, in the parking lot at work. A coworker found him and brought him right to me. He appeared to have been weened and separated from the litter early, as he tried to nurse on any loose skin an...

Re: Cats

Nothing wrong with cats! In our house we currently have only one little animal friend at the moment, an 8 month old kitty cat named Cocoa. Over the decades we've had multiple dog and/or cat friends at random times due to the kids. We love 'em all. (Kids and animals :D ) Cocoa February 2024.jpg What...

Re: Diet soft drinks

The good doctor brings attention to a crucial aspect of our dietary habits, particularly the impact of sweetened drinks on our health. His insights resonate with the biological consequences of our evolved preference for sweetness, coupled with the modern availability of high-calorie sweeteners. This...

Re: Simple Poem to make me smile

In the dawn's soft glow, my dear Candy appears, A morning ballet of purrs and cheers. She leaps on my chest with a whiskery kiss, Affectionate whispers, a feline bliss. Her head nudges gently, a dance of delight, As if breakfast hinges on love in first light. She thinks, "No treats without a sn...

Re: Face Masks - technical, non-political issues

Thanks for sharing the information. The case of the German man who received a remarkably high number of COVID-19 vaccines without suffering ill-effects is indeed intriguing. It's a unique scenario that sheds light on the resilience of the human body in the face of multiple vaccinations. The mention ...

Re: Does anybody miss the old days and getting a barber Shop Shave?

I've had one full barber shop shave in my life (May 20, 2023) and now just a monthly clean-up of the neck and cheeks with a straight razor at the barber shop since I am now bearded.

Re: Face Masks - technical, non-political issues

The problem with coronaviruses is that we don't make good lasting lifelong antibodies against them. Actually, 'lifelong' is a misleading word here, as it doesn't mean what it used to mean when we all died at 30. Smallpox immunity wanes after 30-40 years, and mumps after about 20. The best known sub...

Re: Green tea

Hi Jim, it's good to see you here. :D My story is similar. For example, I love the dark chocolate any way I can get it, and I enjoy my daily large green tea. On the other hand, after reading the health benefits from Apple Cider vinegar, I picked up a big bottle of it at the grocery store a couple o...

Re: Green tea

Welcome, Jim, I think - an argumentative start to your life here! Tastes mature as people do, and there are many tastes that older tongues delight in yet seem repulsive to youngsters. Green tea and dark chocolate are good examples. There is also the issue of a genetic oversensitivity to sourness: t...

Re: electric shaver

That would be Andis. The Pitbull line is over-hyped, expensive garbage. I don't mind paying a high price, but the quality has to be there, and it just isn't with the Pitbull line. Many quality issues. For a smooth electric head shave, go with the Andis, the Wahl 5 Star, the BaBylissPRO FoilFX or the...
