Re: My one-off DE razor design.

If you are looking for other ideas: What I have always wanted to see is a DE razor where the top cap has the same angle as the safety bar: gap-2.jpg Yes, the top cap would use more material and be heavier (necessitating a longer handle for balance), but getting the blade angle correct during a shave...

Hello Gary,

Which hairstyle is better: a shaved head or a bad comb-over?

Re: How reliable are Trumper's soaps these days?

Though I haven't used Trumper shave soap recently, the reformulation saga associated with it ever since they removed the tallow has been interesting, to say the least. I have attached a photo of all current (and a few previous) formulations of Trumper shave soaps. Highlight color/formatting guide (p...

Re: How reliable are Trumper's soaps these days?

Hello Squire, Out of curiosity, do you have hard or soft water? Thanks, Mike That is certainly true about soap scents irrespective of make. Regarding lackluster performance I see Williams shaving soap widely panned yet I have no difficulty making a very serviceable lather from it . I notice a good b...

Re: a perfect blade

Hello z, You should specifically look for the "Platinum Chrome Comfort Coated" variety of metal-pack US Personnas. They are top notch and equivalent to the Crystal Super+ Platinum "blue Israeli Personnas". Check your local dollar store. I found some store-branded 10-packs of the "PtCr-CC" blades the...

Re: Huge News:Re-Reformulated Penhaligon's Soaps

Essentially, it comes down to this:

1. Titanium Dioxide was significantly reduced.
2. Sodium Gluconate was removed.
3. They fiddled with the fragrance.
4. They fiddled with the color.

Mike

I think this is where the problem lies.

Swirling and painting don't cause problems in and of themselves. Mashing and pumping do.
