I do what Kyle does.

I read some time ago that you were supposed to buy (or offer to buy) the itamae (sushi chef) a drink from the bar. I tried it once and was declined; I've never seen anyone else try that (successfully or not).

I have to say I don't like the rap/hip-hop that degrades women, and I'm particularly skeeved out to see fresh-faced blond kids acting "the gangsta" because they think rap music is "cool"/"sick"/whatever the current phrase is. But some rap and hip-hop isn't bad. Some of ...

I'm a latecomer as well. Danny, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems getting around, but I'm glad to hear it wasn't the worst.

I've been a Firefox guy from about Day One, but a friend of mine has been trying it out over the last month or so. He says it's faster for him than Safari. He's still using Safari so he hasn't had to broach bookmark-import issues.

A few decades ago I worked with a man who was well-known in radio and big bands (Miller, Goodman, Dorseys, Shaw,...) He insisted the trouble with the world nowadays is that nobody used words like "keen" and "swell" anymore....

Thanks for the post, Seamaster!

Steve you can do other things that she can't do also, but will have a positive effect on her also. You might suggest that after a nice dinner and wine. I'd like a jar of MdC if you decide to show your appreciation. Oh, yes, there is a world of differences, some related to testosterone and some not....

On a trip to Europe a couple of years ago, I decided to travel super light and take a cake of Dr. Bronner's to use as shower soap, shaving soap (with a brush), and shampoo. I shaved with it for 4-5 days and couldn't take it any more. I bought a travel can of Noxzema in Naples and was much happier fo...

My wife likes my face to have 2-3 days growth on it. As you can imagine, that rarely happens. But when it has, I've asked her why she likes it. Her answer: "Because that's something a man can do that I can't."

Can't argue with that logic. But I still shave almost every day. :D

Pocket for the personal phone, holster for the business phone.

How many of us "have" to carry two phones?

My son achieved a 4.0 point his second semester without using the "required text books" because it turned out they weren't. I went to college mumblety-teen years ago and I learned after the first year to quit buying books until they actually were used in the course. I used to load up at t...

I'm a couple of weeks into using the Liggett bar and I have to say I like it. I'm at the temporal stage at which my hair usually gets a mind of its own (i.e., a haircut is due any day now). But it's been much better behaved while using this shampoo bar. The only downsides I can note is that it will ...

I'm trying out a shampoo bar from J. M. Liggett . Amazingly efficient -- one swipe across the top of my head and there's more than enough lather. I've read on-line that some people have complained about build-up, so I've taken care not to use too much and to rinse it thoroughly. But, after a week, I...

Modular carpet. It's carpet tiles, but not the -- umm, stuff -- that home-improvement centers sell for 99 cents apiece. This is truly commercial-grade stuff. It's the carpet you see in airports, hospitals, shopping malls, ... though there is an incredibly wide pallete of patterns and colors than you...
