Kaveh, Is the new Body Shop cream worth the price? In a word, Yes. It lathers very well, treats the skin nice, and give a close shave. Scentwise, it is nowhere near the top of my list but it isn't offensive. There are better shave experiences to be had but few of them could be had for the price of t...

I loved doing this.
If you think melting VDH into a bowl is fun, try melting it and pouring it into an empty deodorant stick. It makes a cheap and easy shave stick.

This is my first post in quite a while. I've been around but just haven't had much to say. On to the Macca Root...I've been using it for about a week and a half and find it every bit as good, if not better than the old stuff. To me, it is very similar, in both performance and scent, to the Real Shav...

Most of my dress shirts have blue in the them, but I don't think they'd quite complement my girlfriend's dress.
As long as you compliment your girlfriend's dress, you'll be fine.

As Gordon mentioned, JM Fraser's is not quite top shelf BUT it is a very good cream. The price makes it that much better. Sure the scent is less complex than some of the established English creams, but the scent of popsickles is not a bad thing. It is also very slick. All-in-all, JM Fraser's is a gr...

You really can't go wrong with the Lamy Safari. My go-to daily pen is the yellow safari with Havana Brown ink.
If you are searching for something with a more traditional look, vintage Esterbrooks are very nice and can usually be found at a reasonable price.

I have been searching the nooks and crannies of Ottawa for shaving supplies for a couple years and have yet to find Musgo Real. There is a Portuguese store in New Edinborough but it doesn't stock Musgo. James at Menessential mentioned awhile ago that he may get it in but that hasn't happened yet. If...

For me, German Wilkinsons are just ok, sort of like US Personnas. They aren't as good as Astras but they sure beat Merkurs. That said, German Wilkinsons in my 59 Fatboy are pure bliss. A near perfect blade/razor combination.

I put all my stuff in a leather tool belt. On those rare occasions when it clashes with the suit, I either close the top jacket button or sling the belt over my shoulder for true manly effect.

I bought a bottle of pre-shave oil a couple years ago. It didn't do much for the shave but it does work well as a lubricant for razor doors and knobs.
