P.S. I have no problem being called/considered young. Neither do I. My issue here is the rediculous insinuation that if you're young but don't appreciate Elite (which actually, I do), you are somehow immature. You must be athletic as you are excellent at jumping to conclusions. Since you are I shal...

Well Gordon, I know that Basenotes is probably wrong but they place Elite in 1980, not the late 80's. (CHUCKLE) Need to update that notebook! But really, so many of these terms bandied about by people who should know better do nothing but obfuscate. Elite is a far cry from the designer colognes that...

You will find that many of the younger (less mature or immature?) find it too old for their liking. Hmm.....well as a 'younger' member of SMF myself, I think I will choose to take this kind of statement with the pinch of salt it deserves..... Anyway... Elite is (IMO) a pleasant enough fragra...

Chris, Yes, I agree. Originally, they seemed quite firm on "Autumn of this year" ( 2007 ). But now it's to be "March of '08". Well, I hope so. Penhaligon's was also talking about re-introducing some of the other Hammam Bouquet products this year,....but so far, nada. I try and k...

You will find that many of the younger (less mature or immature?) find it too old for their liking. I find it enjoyable and distinctive.. But then again, I find most if not all Floris products to be enjoyable. According to Floris: Elite is a contemplative concoction of grapefruit and Bergamot leaf s...

Re: Perhaps a Bit Late

Art of Shaving has opened a lovely establishment.. Luxury shaves by appointment. . Ron, they did? where in the mall is it? I'm going to have to stroll the length of it soon to see what has opened recently. On an almost as serious a topic, any "Steve's Prince of Steaks" makes a GREAT chees...

Perhaps a Bit Late

Art of Shaving has opened a lovely establishment.. Luxury shaves by appointment. Also, LOccitane has very nicely stocked store just a jot away from Nordstroms, and Bigelows, and Art of Shaving. If you like Aqua di Parma, you are sure to be in HOG HEAVEN in Bigelows. On an almost as serious a topic, ...

They also have some other T&H brushes, from $30. IIRC, T&H brushes are relabelled Vulfixes. The price for the turnback is still a 25% savings over the Vulfix counterpart--a nice deal, but not necessarily the 50% or so mentioned. You are absolutely correct Scott. It's more like 41% of the pr...

Don't worry Chris. Most of the posts are in Yank and would frustrate the denizens here. By the way, sorry to hear of your loss.

Geo. F. Trumper and QED (Father's Day?)

Just got off the phone with Charles at QED, 401.433.4045, and he has a limited number of Geo. F. Trumper Warwick handled DE razors for any gentlemen interested. Charles said: ...from left to right: ebony, ivory (forget the song), tortoise, chrome/gold plated. Special one-time prices: $50, $50, $50, ...

Andrew is absolutely on the money. The soap and cologne are almost identical in fragrance. The difference is probably a function of the constituents of the soap. If you have ever smelled English Leather by MEM, add a dash of vanilla and you have Tabac.. Very masculine, clean and pleasant.

This is almost too good to be true. Just wait until they announce the Gillette 195's for $15.00.

Appreciate all the input on C-M ----Thank you The advice given notwithstanding, C&M's aftershave balms are very good. Lightly fragranced, they are very moisturizing and absorb quickly. Deodorant (not antiperspirant) is good. I like the talcums too. I have not used their creams after a couple of...
