Re: Supply Provisions Injector Razor
I've got the razor in the Kickstarter campaign. I've also got 4 Schick injector (2 of which are Hydromagics). The Supply razor with the 2 dots plate was too aggressive for me so I've changed to the mildest plate (1 dot) and I'm getting BBS shaves compare to the ones I'm getting with my SE (my prefer...

Re: From the ashes? Phoenix Double Open Comb razor
Last evening had my first shave with Phoenix. Last couple of years I've been shaving with an Ever Ready SE and before this also DEs and injectors (tend to use a type of blade for a long time and then change). The SE's are my preferred razors, but ... Used an Edison blade (brand of locally [Israel] m...

Re: Valet Auto Strop
As it happens, I've been using two Valet Auto Strops for about a week now. Originaly I've tried them (with no success) with spineless ( :-) ) GEM blades. It's not just the spine but the blades differ in their dimensions so the GEMs will not sit right in the Valets. But this failure didn't stop me an...

Curiosity Killed the Cat
So today I'be tried those old blades. To put things in perspective, for the last several months I've been using a Valet Autostrop with spineless GEM blades, and lately my loved Gem pushbuttone with the same blades. Two weeks ago I've loaded the Hydro-Magic with a Persona blade (20 in a white plastic...

Will try them.
I'm not a collector. So .... in a few weeks, I'll take a little vacation from my usual SE, will use the "new" Hydro-Magic" first with a modern blade and then with the old ones.
Will return to report.

To use, or not to use, that is the question
Just received this Hydro-Magic. OFCOURSE I'm going to use it ! That's not the question. The razor itself seems to be unused - the blank blade is still installed. And with the razor came a (probably full) Eversharp Hydro-Magic blades cartridge. So, should I use those, or leave them as is ? What do yo...

Except for being SE razors - they are TOTALLY different. The Injector is an excellent razor, very forgiving and certainly recommended for beginners. The GEM type razors ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS. The Ever Ready razors are more forgiving then the GEM themselves in my opinion but even with the...
