As a newb to this site and to a brush, I just want to extend my thanks for this thread- Mine just came yesterday from Beautyrose and I had my first shave with "stinky" this afternoon. 2 washings with pooch shampoo helped, but... conditioner tomorrow for sure. ROFLMAO!! I vote that from no...

They still make new blades for 60's superspeeds

In order to use a valet, you have to either modify the razor, or modify the blade.

I'm not sure I've seen one go on Ebay for $60 recently.

I'm new at this so I'll let you know in a month I guess

I think that I most likely focus my collection on Schicks Type A-F.

I'm dying for an F! (but aren't we all?)

The Logistics Of My Razor Collection

I seem to recall reading a post where someone mentioned that they had successfully obtained a specimen of every schick injector. Who is this person! Come clean! I have questions for you! Kudos to you man! I have recently begun to collect them as well. I am hoping to collect them chronologically, alt...

I've been told to store your razors head down in Vodka to keep them from oxidizing.

Not sure if it works, but it's intriguing to my guests.

I think i'll try a little vodka aftershave someday, and maybe even splash some on my face.

I just got in the mail today a type C travel. I really dig the built in injector feature!
Can you use the type C? I thought the modern blades wouldn't fit in it.
The injector jammed this past week. Time for surgury :?

really makes you do a double take when you see someone pay $50+ for an injector. when i buy an old gillette i feel like im buying a vintage, yet qaulity piece of gear. these schicks make me cringe when prices get high, not that they dont shave well, but they're so cheaply made it's tough to justify...

You don't know how long it took me to figure out what TTC was.

What are your "old ones" that you'd be willing to part with?

Schick Stick

So I desperatly wanted to get my hands on one of those schick stick injectors, because they look so damn boss. Also my SRAD was in full gear, but that's besides the point. (Isn't it always?) Anyhow it came yesterday, and the while I was expecting the shifter knob to be plastic, I was hoping the hand...

I had one for years, and it did shed on and off.

Still, I feel it's the best bang for the buck in the under $40 range.

I bought a vintage Ecka from Acoldspoon a few months ago, and my jaw is still agape in shock and awe. The quality of this brush is just so amazing, as were alot of things 50 yrs ago. The knot is denser, the hair is whiter, and it holds water like a camel! Where did you find yours? Is this your first...

I'm a huge fan of Caswell Massey's scents! I love their Tricorn, Jockey Club, and Sandalwood. You may consider buying some cologne instead! Also note they sell Roger & Gallett, and Musgo Real as well as their own line, if you wanted to try one of those now may be a good time. Or these are some t...

IMHO.... The HD is a a great razor to get started with. I feel it's best to start with a fixed head razor, meaning no adjustments. This way you get a sense of baseline. After a few weeks you may consider an adjustable, but I think the HD is the way to go. I have never used an open comb razor, so I c...
