i'd say it's closer to the kent then to t&h in scent. There's no lavender or any citrus like notes in it. It smells absolutely divine and lathers much better then the arlington or kent for that matter. quite possibly the best shaving soap in existence.

I love Indian food, but I can never get it to taste nearly as good as in the restaurant....The meat isn't as tender or well seasoned. Must be an ancient indian secret.

Nivea seems to have reformulated and is now a bit heavier on the scent (the fragrance is also different, worse imo). I don't like it nearly as much as I used to. I like the Green Pond AS as well as AOS.

Had the same issue with a tub of AOS a while back. They sent out a replacement immediately and did not even require that I send back the defective product. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Quality products, but WAY too strongly scented for me. I'm a Trumper's kind of guy.

Trumper's sandalwood is my all time favorite sandalwood scent in a shaving cream. Intoxicating is an understatement. And like all Trumper creams, it shaves like a dream. Never tried the Taylor's, but I'm curious how it compares to Trumper's in scent....

I concur with everyone that AOS really shines in the aftershave dept. I use the gels and balms depending on the season. The AS gel is a truly unique product that has kind of an intimidating oily feel in your hands, but absorbs quickly and makes your skin feel good.

DR Harris Almond, T&H and, lately, I've been warming up to L'occitane. It's been something of an acquired taste for me, as I was not thrilled initially. Floris and Tabac work great too, but are much too strongly scented for me...Both make me want to gag from the fumes.

My experience from back in January was of an extremely cramped space with a pushy Russian sales clerk all over us as soon as we crossed the threshold. I couldn't wait to leave.

I REALLY like this cream. Efficacy is equal to if not better than the pricey stuff, which I also still enjoy. Slickness is second to none.

Funny how individual our noses are. I find the Floris Vetiver and other Floris scents like Elite and #127 have this subtle ashtray type note in them. It doesn't bug me too much in the 127, but it's a dealbreaker in the Vetiver and the Elite (which had a lot of other dealbreakers for me too). I'm jus...

I picked up the AOS lavender cream recently and I like it a lot. If you want powerful, raw lavender then look no further than AOS. I had been using Taylor's old lavender formula which is far from a straight lavender scent. When it comes to sandalwood, I'm sure the AOS performs well but I strongly pr...

Harris Arlington

I've used this in shaving products, but just now have acquired a bottle of cologne from Green Pond. My first thought was, smells a lot like 4711 or some of the other old school, classic cologne waters. Haven't worn it yet, so that could change, but, my gosh, I have a 13oz bottle of 4711 that only co...
