I wish to thank Peter for buying his black brush after I mused aloud about them one day.

I still think that they are marvellously stunning to look at, especially in counterpoint to pure creamy white badger brushes.

In the case of razor bumps, or ingrowns, it is not the blade at fault. For some people, shaving against the grain will cause ingrowns. The only way around it is to not shave against the grain.

I know this isn't the answer people are looking for, but there really is no way around it.

zip22, I support what you are saying. For some guys, olde style creams and brushes DON'T give a better shave than canned foam or what have you. You may be one of those people. For others, nothing but a brush and cream/soap works for them. As I have said before, millions of men get terrific shaves fr...

Can (and frequently do) become emotional over certain passages of music / lyrics. Ditto. "Nothingman" by Pearl Jam gets me this way. When I sing it live many women come up to me after the show and ask if I've recently ended a long term relationship. They say I sing it with such emotion th...

Do NOT go against the grain on your neck.

Use a VERY light touch. One blade stroke ONLY. Relather if needed.

NO PRESSURE.

Be satisfied with a wee bit of stubble in this area unless you want ingrowns in that area!

Terrence: I appreciate your post. I have advocated for a long time that millions of men get superb shaves with non DE razors, and you seem to be one of them! While some people have found that DEs are the only way to go for them, and rightly so, there is no nirvana to be found in a DE. Excellent prep...

Dave, good on you. I have always maintained that millions of men get good to great shaves from the non DE stuff, and you are one of them. Don't let the DE Nazis get to you! :) On another note, I shave just as quickly with a DE as I do with any multi blade. The speed is where a number of men get prob...

Guys all over the world get top notch shaves without using all the lotions and potions we use. They use soap or water or foam or gel or whatever and some get great shaves, all the time. I know many guys like that.
