That's a Gillette No. 58. It's very similar to the Double Ringed Rocket, but has a different handle pattern.

I guess Aristocrat sounds too old fashioned for the kids these days.... they need edgier terms: turbo this, Mach that. Phantom power!

Nice, over 2X the BIN.... I guess that's worth waiting a week for :D

The buyer is a member over at B&B, I don't know if he's registered here though.

I think the last one sold for around $150 - $200, sometime before Christmas. It was in better condition, but it wasn't minty. I looked for the auction listing but it must have expired.

I don't know if the 195 can be considered the rarest Gillette razor anymore, this one has to give it a good run for it's money. So far it's the only one anyone has come across.

Nice review. This is a razor everyone should try since they're so easy (and cheap) to find. Don't let the open comb scare you, this is about the mildest razor I've ever used, in fact, for me it's infuriatingly mild. I have better luck with the NEWs without the coat hanger shaped teeth.

Wow, two in as many months! Soon they'll be as common as superspeeds

I've also noticed recently that Martin has learned how to snipe, that should make it more difficult for anyone else looking to pick up the nice Aristocrats.

Yeah, I saw one of the lots for $300 BIN when it was still active. I considered buying it..... for like a pico-second. I think I would go crazy if I had to clean up 250+ razors in one go, and I'm too lazy to try to resell them.

Very Nice! In a pinch, it looks like you could knock a burglar out with it. I was considering bidding on this when it was on ebay, but my disposable income isn't what it used to be. I'm glad someone from the forums got it and could share a review with us. Could you take picture of it beside so...

From the auction page: A local jeweler thought this would be valued at $400.00. If it is truly unused it might draw some interest, but the seller will need better pictures to get any attention. *edit* Is that plating loss I see? Even if it is unused it certainly doesn't look like it's in mint ...

Actually on my razors they're about the same, if anything the Rocket's is a tinsy bit more round.
