Lucky Tiger Lemon pre-shave

Went for a straight shave while on vacation in Miami - wonderful! Obviously conditions here are different than Toronto this time of year, but the 'Shave Artist' used a Lucky Tiger pre-shave Lemon cream - I loved it (and I'm not a fan of pre-shave oils, ie: AOS or Proraso Pre/Post).... he also used C...

Thanks, Scott. It may be slightly 'better' that the Mitchell's in the glide/lubrication department, albeit I've now only used it once. I do like the scent, but it goes away so quickly. Hopefully it's strength relative to the Mitchell's won't irratate my skin (as Proraso, Taylor's Rose have)

Ready for the Tabac

I've been using my Mitchell's soap for a month... I love it, so I haven't strayed. In the meantime, my new Tabac in the 'ceramic' container arrived two weeks ago (I just had to have it) and I have not yet used it. I see it everyday when I shave, so it may be time to peel back the top and lather it u...

Gordon, I appreciate your insight and must thank my friend. It did provide a nice shave first use - handles like a Fat Boy and Merkur HD - I was just getting used to a 50's Super Speed - I'll have to see if I like the extra weight. Not a fair shave to judge, as I slummed it this weekend so I shaved ...

Hello Gordon:
The centre bar (which I believe means the bar within the silo doors that span the width in which the blade sits on) goes almost across the width, however both end stems are diagonal and appear to cause a notch. Make sense?
Thanks!

how do you clean the case? I got one at a shop and it seems musty and I would hate to put in a newly cleaned, sterilized razor in it. Am I being neurotic? Thnx

What do you suggest for a gold razor? I think Michael (Leisure) mentioned he never had trouble boiling? My wife has barbacide and some other strong stuff (aestitician), so perhaps brushing with toothpaste, polish and dip is ok?

Thanks - I have the moss scuttle as well and will try based on these pics. My issue is that I never get the good lather at the tips/end of the brush - it makes a big mess in the middle (with most soaps) - I obviously have to work on technique.

L'occitane Cade vs American Crew A/S

I like the earthy smell of both - I've been using Amer Crew off and on, and just used a one-time sample of Cade and loved the scent. Price compared to the Crew. Before I splurge, anyone use any of these? I use Thayers WH A/S, which I would follow with a balm. Thanks.

I've so far enjoying my Mitchell's (my only 2nd hard milled soap - AOS Sandalwood was my first)... and I find starting 'er up in a large mug then building the latter on my face works... perhaps I'm not getting the best lather possible then?

B2 flared bottom Superspeed?

Used this morning, is this a Superspeed from 1956 as per Geocities site? Good shave! Not too agressive. Anyone use a razor with this date? Thanks!

Thanks! So, charge brush with soap (additional flicks for a dryer brush). Work lather in scuttle and add drips of water as needed.... got it I think?
