Thanks to all for the advice. Sounds like the small scuttle will work best with my Shavemac brush, so that will be the one I get. I will be sure to get back to everyone here with how it works out for me. Only bummer is that I will have to wait a month for it to arrive...patience young grasshopper......

I was checking out the Moss Scuttles on Sara's web page and they look really cool, I am definitely gonna get one. I am currently using a Silvertip L from Shavemac. Is anyon...

Its time to get a Moss Scuttle

Hi all, I have been a DEer for almost a year now. I am loving the creams, brushes, and AS's, and the quality and enjoyment of my shave have improved dramatically since switching over from the M3. However, the time has come to obtain the legendary Moss Scuttle, make it mine, and elevate my shaving ri...

+1

Pre-shave oil right before ATG(if I do it that day) makes the final pass noticeably smoother and irritation-free for me

Never seen that "flossing/touch-up" method before. Anyone know if western barbers ever did anything like that?

Heya Magic, I am still a "newbie" to DE shaving. But it sounds like your skin is really dry from using that green gel cleanser for so long. Since you are older now and your acne problem has completely cleared up, there is not such a need for the cleanser right? I would take timc's idea and...

Hey Theo, You say you are overseas huh? I am in Tokyo myself and the only quality, well-known shave cream I can readily find is Art of Shaving. The creams really are top-notch even if the aftershaves balms aren't. Granted Tokyo is a bit more "developed" than Singapore, but I wouldn't be th...

Thanks all for the great advice! I always thought that the second N-S pass in the beginning of the shave wouldn't remove any extra hair but it seems that it helps for quite a few people, I will def try it my next shave. If it really helps me get a closer shave than just the 2 pass NS-EW, than I will...

The S-N Pass(to drag or not to drag)

Hi all, I have slowly been working on my DE technique, learning lots from all the great advice and help to be found here. I was thinking about how I will do my next shave tmr night when all of this one question popped into my head and I wanted to get some feedback. I have been doing 3 passes lately,...

Forgot to mention:

I change the blades every 3 shaves. I mean, they are so cheap so might as well keep up with a good clean, sharp blade right? God bless DE blades by the way.

Thanks again,
Gabriel
