Did some searching over at Straigh Razor Place, and did obtain a lot of results. Of note, they seem to hold them in very high regard. I was not able to find out what approximate year my particular piece was manufactured in. I'll just hone it an use it, and see how it goes.

Night of the living dead. Circa 2005. Pardon for such a resuscitation. I'd also like Peter's question answered. Doing research here, this is the closest I got to what I sought - the very same question I harbor. A very thoughtful lady friend/colleague gifted me a Puma straight. We worked closely toge...

Squire, they are not that hard to understand. It is way to obvious what they seek.

John, i'm afraid i will have to disappoint you on this matter: the Vulfix CH3 is superbly made and i like the engraving and the new water resistant sticker a lot more than the lampblack and the old water soluble sticker from the Somerset brushes. I'll give a more detailed impression of my five ( :o...

..... one Vulfix made (about which more later...) I knew it was a matter of time. As in not if, but when. By the way, do spew your surely skewed impressions. I have a feeling you made up your mind even way before placing the order. I put my money on a negative review, mostly based on my perception ...

Only on this board could one guy say that to another!
Kyle, lets not look, but surely, there must be other boards where this would be quite common.

These days, not much. I have a B&W surround sound system built-in into the walls of my bathroom, with a subwoofer and a DVD-A/SACD disc changer hidden not too far from the Hidden Stash. Half the times, I'm shaving in the middle of the night, with my dog and woman sleeping, and so the only voice ...

Weird question but since you've asked. I wear a fez, a pair of fluffy pink mule slippers and shin-pads. Not too fast, guys. No one can be quite sure what Vinny means here. Thanks to modern progressive culture, saying you wear a fez does not really say much, as it did in times past. For all we know,...

Took the words right out of my mouth

That is one brush I'd probably continue buying till I have one in the office, one in each bathroom, one in my gym bag, one on my dresser, etc..

gil, How a badger brush performs and how it feels on the face is determined by several interacting factors: 1) The gauge ( thickness ) of the bristle shafts themselves. Obviously, heavier gauge bristle will be stiffer, other factors being equal. 2) The loft height. Of two otherwise identical brushe...

Lynn, Peter, thanks. I sure am pleased with these brushes, on all levels; performance, feel, aesthetics, you name it, these brushes are hard to top. Kyle, no, in AOS numbers, a size 4 and 5, which, by self measurements using accurate calipers, correspond to Plisson sizes #14 and #16. The sales assoc...

Peter, my mind has been oscillating between acquiring the little stickers or just leaving them as is. Truth is, they've been growing on me just plain. Same thing with the older Simpsons. Sure, they all look nice when dressed up, but, I've never minded before when the skirts come off, so, why start n...

John, thanks but the 18 seems only slightly larger than the 16 (impression, could be completely wrong)? In other words, is the size jump from 14 to 16 larger than the jump from 16 to 18? :? That jump to #16 is not minor. Take a look, from the top, straight in front, and the bottom, respectively. ht...

Michael, the #16 is substantially different than the #14. It is heftier, taller, and does feel much larger in use. Alas, I don't see a need to jump from a #14 to a #18, unless you really prefer large brushes. The #16 will be different enough to merit the purchase in the name of contrast, in my opini...

A #18 is even more desirable imo than a #16.... I don't know about this. I find the #12/14 to be just at the center of my sweet spot, they are 'just right'. The #16, a splendid brush, would be just at the upper limits of my 'just right' scale. But, of course, all this could have easily been ...

Oh, and I should mention, that we had a semi tropical storm here last night. I just arrived home, to find my whole area without power. Wait a minute! Richard, I thought you had a hand-dug well that tapped into the magical, ultra soft water aquifer that only exists in your region of Canada. This is very disheartening. Compared to the fetid disease infested swamp that is Florida (Gordon's words, not mine), it is pretty pure. :...
