Gordon, Squire, With the shave den you sort of have it backwards. The store came around the forum as for a revenue generation. The forum was started for months until a store came out if it. Heck it just came from a mod who had a hobby of making soaps and it just grew. The Forums don't pay for them s...

Chris, Well, you may. But in truth, I could shave in the shower with a Bic and water only, and do less damage then if I did what some of these newbies have been doing; harsh 'scubs' followed by a careless raking with a Quattro, more complex 'products' slapped on after that, and throughout the cours...

I have never had a problem with glycerin based soaps but it is understandable that some do.

The lather is thiner and slicker then creams or milled soaps.

On the second pass the soap may have dried a little causing the skip. Try more water and more brush loading.

Check your angle, really pay attention. Where you shaved the closest was probably the correct one.

Also really stretch that skin, some spots can be tough.

Neale, Well, that may well explain most of it. It is my understanding that often straight razor shavers can get by with less cushion to the lather as the blade is not as sharp and is less likely to take off too much skin. Most open razor shavers tend to prefer soaps in general over creams, it seems...

Both, Samiam is a current band and Samhain is a disbanded band that was a stepping stone from The Misfits to Danzig.

Try doing one lather and not two, shaving the problem area last, the cream will have more time to set in. Since WTG is going upward you may have a problem keeping the correct angle. Make sure you are keeping the correct one and use a super light touch.

I am not a fan of Ivory, dries me out pretty good and their is never a need to spend a ton of money on soap. Try some Noxzema Original and/or a nice gentle face soap. I use homemade Olive Oil soap from a online soap maker. I don't know what SMF policy on posting about vendors is so if you would like...
