If you look close at the picture you will see that there are no blade stops. It will not take modern SE blades.

I have been shaving with the CJB for the past few days. Unlike my Weck Sextoblade, with Fromm hair shaper blades, the CJB with Feather Professional blades, seem less likely to cut, nick or cause irritation. I was even able to adjust the angle to a slightly steeper one without any issues. The only pr...

I see that Dorco's website has an abundance of Single Edge blades (Pace brand) for sale also. From what I have heard, the Dorco SE blades are rubbish, so beware. This observation is both puzzling and kind of embarrassing to me, because I have been enjoying what I call "aggressive" razors ...

I have had a couple of Feathers, and found them very effective. If you plan to use daily, be sure to keep a very low angle of attack and use as little pressure as will keep the edge on your skin. Otherwise you will thin your skin until you become red and raw. Great point! What you stated relates to...

I finally got my razor. I had quite a bit of trouble with the postal service. Even though I tracked the package, and it showed that it arrived at my location, they had trouble finding it in their system The postman even lied and stated on their tracking system that a delivery notice was left when on...

These razors sell for about around $15 in Korea. You can actually order them from the Korean website, if you can fumble your way through the Korean. However, shipping is rather high. The price will end up around about 30-50 dollars for one. This is still a whole lot less than Feather razors. The qua...

I have one on the way to me. I can't wait to give it a go. A while ago, I purchased quite a few feather blades to use in my injectors. Since the Feather razors are out of my price range at the moment, I thought I would give this a shot.

Here are some pictures of a Feather Shave razor. It is some what similar to the Dime razor. I believe someone over at B&B has this one? Notice the modern SE blade loaded in the last picture. http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10191/normal_FeatherShave.jpg http://www.shavemyface.c...

On a side note, you asked at B&B about the Stoll Improved. I didn't know if you saw the pictures of mine or not. I actually picked on up. However, I was not pleased with the purchase, no fault of the seller. The razor just seemed so flimsy. In particular, the top head plate. It was still loose ...

Themba, did you ever see one of those before?
I sure have. I have known of their existence for quite some time, but I have never been able to snag one of them. As the saying goes, they are rarer than hen's teeth.

Were I to use such tools (all of which are inferior to a straight razor!)  As someone who uses mostly SE razors I have to agree with that statement. At least for me any way. I have been a single edge user for quite some time with only one DE remaining in my collection (a Gillette open co...

Quit messing with that Heavy Flat Top. What you need Sir is an Ever Ready patented 1924. Most tend to lump things together but there are different types of "bumps". The type of bumps you have will dictate your course of action. If you have a razor bump, your razor, blade angle, or not shaving close enough, is leaving a tip on your hair that is not agreeable to your skin. If yo...

For a DE razor look for a used Gillette open comb three piece razor on everyone's favorite auction site or in the for sale forum here. SE razors are all cheap so you should not have any problems getting a hold of a few of them. Try a few of them out and see which one you like. Maybe your whiskers ar...

For more on my particulars, as my member name implies, I have some facial hair/shaving issues. These include ingrown hairs, razor bumps, and sensitive skin irritation, as well as crazy directional growth in some spots and some hairs that basically lie flat on the skin . One of the bigest problems w...
