Old Spice "Classic Scent" Body Wash

Excuse me if this has been posted already, I didn't find a thread on it. I found a display of Old Spice Classic Scent (original scent) body wash at Wal-Mart. Apparently it is a new product. I bought some and it works well and has the classic Old Spice original scent. I'm going to stock up on some bo...

That was good! Once about two years ago I was in court on a domestic assault arrest that I had made. I was waiting for my case to be called and was listening as one of our officers was testifying about an arrest he had made in which he had chased a man on foot and the man went inside his house and w...

What is the Theory Behind the Battery Powered Manual Razors?

My parents came to visit yesterday after taking a trip to celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary. At a hotel where they stayed, a Schick Quattro battery powered manual razor was left by the hotel for the guest's use. My dad shaved with it once and didn't care for it, but knowing my fondness for sh...

I work straight midnight shifts and drive a lot covering the county as a supervisor. 120-180 miles per night is the norm. Protein laden snacks and caffeine keep me going, but I must admit I sleep during the day, so my work time is my normal awake time. The body naturally wants to sleep at night, so ...

I've been smoking pipes off and on since 1981, with a change to at least once a day since 2000. I have 35 pipes and enough tobacco to last me "for a while" . I mostly smoke burlies, English, and Virginia blends.

Does anyone ever mix aftershaves before applying?

Today after shaving, I tried an experiment. I like Old Spice after shave and I like Master's Bay Rum aftershave. I began wondering what I would think if I mixed the two, so I tried it this morning. I kind of like it, both have a spicy scent that sort of compliments one another. Has anyone else ever ...

I really like the old fashioned things in life; that's what initially drew my attention to wet shaving. I like ink pens and have a fascination with them also. I have a problem with writing, however. After 20 plus years as a law enforcement officer, I can't write in cursive anymore. I have to think a...

I'm not mechanically inclined at all. I am a whiz at writing, reasoning out problems, etc. but cannot for the life of me repair anything. Once several years ago I attempted to install a new toilet. I kept messing up the wax ring at the base, it took 2 full days without water and showering at my moth...

Old Spice High Endurance After Shave Balm

I was at Dollar General Store today to pick up a few things quickly and saw tubes of Old Spice High Endurance after shave balm. It smelled pretty good in the store and was only $3.00 per tube, so I bought one to try. Has anyone tried this and if so, what did you think about the product?

I have worked in law enforcement for 20 years. The pay is not as good as a lot of professions, but it is practically recession-depression proof. Chances are slim to none that you will ever be laid off or downsized, if you're considering the military, law enforcement is similar. Downsides: shift and ...

Slightly on topic/slightly off topic I guess: I grew up from age 1-17 in a small town 15 miles from the Jack Daniels Distillery. In the mornings while waiting for the school bus we could smell "whiskey" in the air (it was actually the sour mash cooking). A friend and I rode our bicycles to...

Antique Shopping

I went to several antique stores today, searching for pipe racks and valuable old tobacco pipes. I found numerous Gillette razors; adjustable, non adjustable, stainless steel, gold tone, single edge, double edge, injector, and many straight razors also. I have 3 Gillettes and wasn't in the market fo...

I've figured it out now; Thanks everyone!

After reading answers from everyone to my thread titled "What could I be doing wrong" a few days ago, I studied my technique and razor angle for a few days and bought some Proraso cream to replace the hard soaps I've been using. It truly made a difference. Today I had a nice comfortable sh...

I was born in 1960, so I guess I grew up during the end of "the good old days". What I remember most is that things moved slower back then. It was a time when things and people were more relaxed than today. We weren't in a constant state of rush and hurry as we seem to be now. We didn't ne...
