Vote! Vote! Vote!

I voted tonight. Dropped my ballot in the mailbox and I am done! If you want to know how I voted, send me your excess shaving supplies and I'll send you a pm! All joking aside, for those of us here in the US this may be the most important election we will vote in during our lifetime. If you have a f...

I got to shake hands with Ronald Reagan before he was elected Pres. Very soft spoken and a real gentleman.

I keep a couple of different journals. One for my diabetes records. The other is just life. It is a nice way to end the day or week. Putting pen to paper (fountain pen users!) is a great way to complete thoughts, work out problems and tie up loose ends. It is a great way to relieve stress, express t...

I believe that Gordon coined the phrase "Shaving Fidelity". One of the greatest things I have ever learned. Using the same brush, razor, blade, cream or soap daily for an extended period is truly learning what wetshaving is all about. Otherwise, it is like starting over every day.

Ethan,

Congratulations! A milestone for you. I gave my son a C&E Best when he graduated, along with assorted creams and soaps. What does he do? Uses the Arko shaving stick, lathers with his hand and then shaves. Glad to see you are on the right path!

Gordon,

Next time you post something like this, give me some warning. I would have bought stock in Taylor's before the onslaught of purchases!

Thanks for sharing your expertise!

I found that I enjoyed the C&E more than the Vulfix 2234, to the point that I sold the Vulfix. The C&E is a tad more prickly, but has much more backbone.

I've got an original Atra razor handle, all metal...and it ain't for sale! A little bit of "spit and shine" and it looks brand new. And it sits unused...next to my overworked Merkur HD and Merkur 38C! Randy (I did have the decency to load a cartridge on it so it looked "normal"!)

Tye, Glad to see you back. We all have our own issues to deal with. And this reminds me of the line from "The Natural" with Robert Redford. The character played by Glenn Close asked Roy Hobbs (Robert Redford) what happened to him. And he replied "Life didn't turn out like I planned&qu...

Well, Edge gel works better for me than a lot of traditiona creams / soaps. Keep an open mind And that is what this is all about. Using what works best for you. Edge was the best of the "canned" items I used. I don't want to go back to it, but if it works for you, well, it is cheaper than...

One thing I think most forget. Shaving is as much common sense as anything else. Looks like you have that figured out!

I've also got one. Never used it. It sits on the counter as a conversation piece. Why I don't know. No one enters my shave den save for myself.
