Ubuntu was simple to install and took little time to get used to.

Much less time than it took to figure out Windows 8 and uninstall it.

We changed to Windows 7 at work and everyone hates it. The intent of Windows originally was to have many windows open at the same time to multi-task but this version will not let anyone do any work on another window while the current one is doing it's thing.

Sometimes change is not so good.

I was there last year during a conference I attended. It's a short walk from the Williamsburg Inn where we were staying.

It's located in the Henry Street Shops in Merchants Square. Williamsburg is always a nice visit on it's own but of course I had to visit London's Bathecary while there.

Actually, the store in Charlottesville (London's Bathecary) has closed their brick and mortar there and opened another store in Williamsburg. Williamsburg is somewhat close to Norfolk, not too long of a drive, so it might be a good day trip, checking out the old town AND visiting London's. Be sure t...

I purchased a ton of stuff at American Brewmaster there in Raleigh when I lived in Holly Springs. I'm right in between two homebrew suppliers right now here in the Richmond area.

Sounds like a pretty good deal although it looks to be over. Everyone I know is fully aware I homebrew and have been for 10 years or more. Well on my birthday two months ago, my parents bought me a Mr. Beer Premium kit. If you are a homebrewer, you know this is basically a starter kit. I don't know ...

Yep, I got that feeling from it too. One can tell from the video that the WH always intended to make this information public and they were just trying to generate a little buzz. Nonetheless, the video is interesting. Several founding fathers made their own whiskey (cinnamon flavored!), beer and wine...

Re: Homebrewers unite! Sign the White House petition!

Because I don't want anyone to think I support this president, I am only interested in the beer recipe. Although I am not a fan of this administration, as a homebrewer myself, I would welcome the opportunity to brew this beer. Got to love how Americans can make everything political. Why even mention...

Actually you don't have to create a user name with password and all. It just asked me for my first and last name and zip code, then to verify my email address (they have a no spam policy). Once I recieve the verification via my email address, I simply hit the "sign the petition" button and...

Homebrewers unite! Sign the White House petition!

Homebrewers unite! As you may have heard, there are staff in the White House that brews beer for the President. Apparently it is a Honey Ale. Although I am not a fan of this administration, as a homebrewer myself, I would welcome the opportunity to brew this beer. If they receive 25,000 signatures o...

Bottom right hand side of your screen has a % setting, click it and reset it to 100%. You might also want to look at your view/text size on your menu board. These are for explorer, not sure which browser you are using though.

I understand the need to park far away in the parking lot and take up two spaces to avoid dings, I've done it. But when someone takes two spaces and are within the closest 5 or 6 (or more given the size of the lot) I try to park my beater truck (has a TON of batltle scars) right next to them, in one...
