It's a good cream, performs well, but the scent is very much YMMV. I used it pretty much exclusively early in my cartridge days, but now there is just other stuff I like better.

head to a professional music store and pick up some Shure E2 in ear monitors. They're basically the same as the consumer Shure E2C headphones, but cheaper. They're not noise cancelling but they are in ear and block external noise. I picked mine up for ~ $90 CDN. They take some getting used to in ter...

The hanging hair test can depend on the thickness/strength of the hair. My hair is far too short for the test, but my wife's wispy blonde hair won't pop on the blade as it is so light. I always run the blade along my arm hair without touching the skin. I can tell how/if the razor cuts hair whether ...

Here's a second recommendation for L'Occitane CADE. Looking through the thread we share a lot of the same "dislikes", particularly around the cologne based scents. So I feel pretty comfortable making that recommendation. I have puck of Tabac on the way and given what I've read here, I'll ...

Lavender junky reporting in: I haven't tried the DR Harris cream. I have the stick which has the sharp lavender essential oil scent. More pronounced scent than I was expecting. I haven't shaved with it though. I have the CF and taylor lavender creams and like them both and will buy both again when I...

WTB - Dorko straight razor

I'm having an acute case of Dorko RAD. I just need one, I'm not having success thus far on eBay and I'm running out of patience. 6/8" is preferred but 5/8" is good too. I'm looking for something in very good to mintyish condition. Anybody have one they are willing to part with?

It does eventually wear off but never goes away for good. I'll go through a few weeks of "meh, I'm good"...then it'll turn on a dime where I'm scouring ebay, refreshing B/S/T thread like crazy, making wishlists from vendors that I like. Then I find myself needing to simplify and getting r...

It's a terrible, terrible razor. So much so, that ZethLent should send it to me for immediate and proper disposal.

Re: Non-alcohol aftershave shave splash?

Relatively new member and DE shaver here... I tried the Coral Skin food, although I like the feel and scent, its sealing action is not good for my oily skin. Around ten years ago, there was a Gillette aftershave in a glass bottle. It was colorless and inviscid, like water. It had a great scent, and...
