This is my Darwin. It's a stainless steel 3-piece from the 30's to the best of my knowledge.I don't have one the models similar to a Rolls, but I do see them on ebay from time to time.

That's good to hear. I ordered 100 after trying some and was wondering if I should have ordered more. They are truly excellent blades.

My favorite among those I own is the Rosemary Mint (for summer). FWIW, you can buy empty sticks from her and make your own from any of her soaps by melting them.

I havea strange feeling I may frequent this forum more than originally planned. 8-[ Guido, you just keep digging up 195s at estate sales and you'll be a hit here  . Seriously, welcome. Get you some blades for that vintage Gillette and toss the Braun out the car window. The funny part of...

Testors enamel model paint, quickly wiping off the excess so it fills in the recessed number.

I should add that I've never actually tried it, but Mike (Antique Hoosier) told me once it would work.

I agree. Totally pointless to ship a razor that way for a regular eBay seller; as you stated, all you have to do is create an account with USPS and they'll send you Priority Mail boxes for free. Perhaps the seller is unaware of that...I myself only found that out in the last few months.

Glad you liked them Roger. They seem to pair well with my Merkur Progress, but I have to work a little harder with them if I use one in a Rocket or Super Speed.

Congrats on a steal of a deal Tim. I too would have snatched up a 2nd large Egg for that price.

Replacing the gasket is easy. I put a new one on every year. A razor blade paint scraper and some alcohol are all you need once you get the new gasket.

Rob, the next time you're in Atlanta, look for a Bonehead's. It's a grilled fish & chicken place that specializes in piri piri sauces. Good stuff. It's part of the Raving Brands chain (Moe's).

Now you have me wondering about one of these egg thingames. I've seen them in the local BBQ store and they looked pretty cumbersome to me, but I'm going to take another look. Only problem is that my BBQ has to run year round and when the snow is flying it's not much fun futzing about with a charcoa...

If you ever eat anything cooked on an Egg or participate in a cookout where one is used, you will sucked into another cult. You think we wetshavers are fanatical about our little hobby? Eggers take it to a new level.... :D How many eggs do you have? I have the large egg, but I am strongly consideri...

Thanks everyone for the Lump Coal education. I put that website in my favorites. Now I have to figure out how to explain to my wife why I MUST have one more grill to cook on. I have a Pig Cooker being built for me for the Deep Run home. Southpaw, I am in Deep Run at least 2 weekends a month. I will...

OK, I'm a gas guy as I said in my previous post. HOWEVER you charcoal guys have me wondering. What charcoal is best? I have in years gone by used that Kingsford stuff with the easy lighting chemical built in. I didn't see a big difference in that over gas. Do you burn hardwood and then take the hot...

Charcoal--specifically hardwood charcoal (not briquets) in my Big Green Egg. I use an electric lighter, and my pit is ready to go in just over 10 minutes. I used to let my gas pit (with a natural gas hookup to my house) heat up that long, so it really isn't any more of a wait to use my BGE. My gas ...

Gillette Super Adjustable F/S

This is a Gillette Super Adjustable, date code P1. It's received all the standard boiling, scrubbing with bar keeper's friend, polishing with Maas, soaking in mineral oil and in Barbicide. The black is wearing thin on the handle with a spot of white near the end, and it had some slight spotting on t...

Gold Techs F/S

Gentlemen, I have apair of Gold Techs for sale. The ball-handled one has the "Gillette" diamond logo on the head. The plating is starting to thin on the heads of both, and on the top section of the fat-handled one. Both are excellent, mild shavers. I cleaned both with some scrubbing bubble...
