Made the plunge

I received two straight razors for Christmas; a Dovo and a Heart. Been working with the Dovo, as they say, steep learning curve

Re: Gillette Proglide Power Vs Schick Hydro 5 Power

I bought the disposable version of the Schick when traveling last week. It is a complete piece of garbage. The only good thing is I could lock the lubricating strip back so it didn't smear goo all over my face. I've been using DE now for ten years. It's been a long time since I had to push down on a...

Re: Skin Tags UPDATE

The homeopathic drops are a scam. You can freeze the tags off or cut them off. Small tags can be removed with finger nail clippers.

Re: Rolling My Own

Nice project! Maybe a dumb question but where do you get tallow? Do you buy it as purified fat or do you have to purify it yourself?

Re: Roller ball or ballpoint

My wife bought me a Waterman Carene ball point for Christmas. I often use fountain pens but she thought a ballpoint would be more useful at work. I'm a physician so when we actually do use paper it is for signatures and the like.

I frequently tell patients that it is their information. However, I have seen families have more difficulty in dealing with a rapid decline since they had no idea anything, widely metastatic cancer, was going on. Then out of nowhere, the husband and father was transitioning to hospice.

We use a Keurig machine (s) at work. No clean up and less coffee mold, but for home it seems like a waste with all of the plastic ending up in landfills.

These Nespresso adds were made in English for French TV, funny with different endings.

Small hernias can incarcerate. Large, freely mobile hernias are lower risk. Listen to your physician. If you do opt for a repair go with a surgeon who does lots of them. The main choices are open or minimally invasive and mesh or no mesh.

Have you looked at the deplorable state of Spanish American War monuments lately? Consumers have been paying a tax on every telephone unit since that Splendid Little War levied on the new luxury telephone of Alexander Graham Bell. That tax was enacted to maintain the monuments and never retired. I ...

I saw that on the package while in the check-out line. I wonder if the fusion is really a 3 bladed razor with two back up blades. As the first blade gets duller, the next - #4 - starts to work and so on. So 4 dollars a cartrige for 4 weeks is a dollar a week?

I'm a relatively healthy 31 y.o. health care provider and don't believe I need flu shots. I don't get them. My fiancee, who is a Speech Pathologist and works in the public school system, is on the other end of the spectrum and gets her shots every year. Aside from feeling 'under the weather' for a ...
