qap, which products? It would be relatively inexpensive for someone here in the USA to purchase some and send them to you - I've sent things with three day express service over there for $8 or so. :)

I missed it! I don't know how I did...

I should've just phoned Charles first - he's always been quite helpful. I think I'll do just that Monday, and send an e-mail now just in case he's about.

Thanks, everyone!

QED Soaps?

I've not been on this board in just about forever, but now that my supply of QED soap is almost exhausted, I'm puzzled. Are these soaps still in production? I didn't see them on the QED website.

Thanks in advance, all.

I guess I just don't understand where the addiction part comes in. I've been smoking cigars for a few months now, and I haven't had anything for a few weeks, where I'd been having 4-5 a week.

Are cigars just a different animal in terms of the behavioral addiction to cigarettes?

I too enjoy Osage rub (though I'm lost as to how to pronounce it!) at the end of a long day. Good for the face/neck/feet/whatver.

Cheap enough at $5-6 a bottle, too! :)

I can get a decent shave with QED hard soap, but I've yet to be able to figure out the proper ratio of water:cream with Taylor's.

I'll get it yet, I still have some of the sample left! :D

Just got back from the smoke shop... took me through a quick rundown and suggested an inexpensive Macanudo to try. It smells great, and I'll see what it tastes like this coming week.

Forgot to get a cutter, though... I'm sure I have a straight razor or something around, though!!

First cigar.

Reading the thread "humidors" reminded me of something - I had been wanting to try a cigar, as I'd never smoked but hated the smell of cigarettes. I bought just some cheap-os at the smoke shop, a 5 pack of "Blunts" by Phillies. Really, really nice to slowly smoke. Any suggestions...

Smoooooth

I shaved my neck this morning, as I have a beard and moustache. I used an old DE that my father gave me, a Savile Row 130 brush from Charles at QED, and QED Lavender hard soap. Heated up the water, heated the bowl, the brush. Three quick swirls in the hard soap, then into the bowl with just a touch ...

I, too, just got some from Charles, and it's fantastic to add to warm water and use as a foot-soak.

Wish I could find it in a WalGreens, but they didn't have it when I looked.

Lavender QED Soap...

Angels SANG when I smelled this. When the (pre-warmed in boiled water) brush hit it, two quick swirls and into the warm shaving bowl it went. A bit more water in the bowl as well, then magic happened. Lather. Thick, beautiful lather - it looked like whipped cream, for all I knew! More lather than I ...

Great!! I'm really looking forward to it. For now, though, I've had to go back to aerosol.

Also ordered a cheap $25 badger hair brush, one of the SR series. Should be nicer than the 30 year old Burma-Shave my dad gave me!!

Dry scalp care - glycerin?

Hi all, I seem to be having a run-in with dry scalp as of late. I see many products advertised as "glycerin added, good for dry scalp". Does anyone have personal experience with this claim, does the glycerin-containing tonic or lotion help??

Thanks in advance.

And living in MA means I'll have it this week, hopefully tomorrow or the next day!!

I can't wait, this will be such an improvement over the Colgate soap I use now. :D
