I really like Kiel's"Close Shavers" Shaving Formula #31-0. It is not too thick and actually seems to heat up when you use it.

I have the same problem with a small strop with a handle. I am going to try to get a piece of leather cut (the same as the original strop and glue it on top of the old leather.

looks like a polished gold razor to me....The gold plating can be removed quite easily.

After trying many razors my favorite was still the HD...I tryed the 38c ( It has the same head as the HD but the handle was too heavy for me. I then bought a classic long Handle ( still with the HD head ) ...I love it. It would be my favorite razor except the three piece design makes changing blades...

After reading all about the differences of the best and super in the Chubby line. I purchaases a chubby 1 in best. I have to agree, it is aperfact brush for hard soap. Wow the Sandy Beker show and Wonderamer with Sonny Fox ...I had completely forgotten about those. I was 5 during the 1964 black out and remember we had lumpy mash potatoes because my mom had t prepare them by candle light.

Funny, I was there but don't remember the 1977 black out.
