I haven't posted on SMF for probably over a year, but I decided to check in today out of the blue and saw this thread. I recall that I was one of the main proponents of "MWF" and mentioned that it can be ordered from Smallflower.com at the following link: http://www.smallflower.com/mitchel...

More than just a thick cream, this is stuff is actually more like what it says it is - a "wax". Basically, it's unlike anything else out there in the sense that it forms a waxy layer on the skin, whcih really seems to soften the hair. It takes some getting used to because it doesn't feel a...

I agree that a good razor is probably the most important element to a good shave, but don't discount the cream as being a very close second. I use an adjustable Schick Injector with twin blades.

Molton Brown Shaving Wax

On a recent trip to NYC I picked up a tube of Molton Brown Ultra Calm Lemon Leaf Shave Wax and the Ultra Light Bai Ji Rehydrator: http://www.groominglounge.com/mobrullelesh.html http://www.groominglounge.com/molbrowbaiji.html I rarely post product reviews, mostly because I find that so few products ...

SMF-I Hair Loss

Long time no post for me. I bought the SMF-I as my first and only brush to use every shave. It has been amazing, and I really don't see the need to try anything else. However, it's going on a year and half and the brush is losing hairs somewhat regularly. It usually loses 1 to 2 per shave. Is this n...

http://www.smallflower.com/brand/br383 You can order from here if you wish. I'm fortunate in that I can just walk over to this store a few blocks from where I work. I picked up the Mitchell's in the ceramic dish on sale last year. It's pretty cook when you can go to a retail store that carries this ...

To answer both questions...

Although the twins are not being made any longer, I've been able to buy them several times on eBay for a good price.

Yes, they are definitely mild enough for three passes! They work well even against the grain on my neck.

Twin Blades For The Schick Injector

I've rarely seen anybody extolling the virtues of the twin blades for the Injector. I've tried virtually all the blades out there, from the CVS crap to the cut-down Feathers - nothing, in my opinion, is as good as the twins. These babies cut wonderfully, while being much milder on the skin. Basicall...

You didn't miss anything - Gino's was a total sh*thole with really bad pizza. For future reference, you would be much better off at the original Uno's or at my favorite (but doesn't have much atmosphere) Lou Malnati's on Wells.

OK, I'm new to C&E Almond cream and I'm a bit confused about the "old" vs. "new" formulations. The one I just bought from a C&E store is in a heavy, brown glass jar/tub. Is this the new one and is the consensus that it is or is not being discontinued? Like most others, I'...

We should probably clarify whether we're talking about using the talc for your face or beanbag. The Balla is intended to be used on and around your package.

I'm a big fan of the Balla powder. Perhaps the most important selling point beyond its great scent is that it is supposedly a non-asbestos form of talc (i.e., not the kind that has been said to be a cancer-causing carcinogen). To me this makes all the difference since talc is clearly so much more ef...

Not for nothing, but I've heard (I don't use canned goo) that the Aveeno canned shaving cream is the best of that type. Anybody else have any thoughts on this.

Will Single Injector Blades Fit an Adjustable Injector?

Stupid question, I know. But I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a brand new, never used adjustable Injector, which apparently comes with a double blade in the package. I think I know the answer but - will this razor also take single blades? Is there any difference in the construction of the r...

Adjustable Injector With "Locking" Mechanism?

I've been given the choice to obtain one of two type of adjustable Injector razors - a "standard" one with the black handle or a brownish one with a "locking" mechanism or bar that supposedly protects the razor blade when not in use. Anybody have any more info on this thing? Do t...
