I recently traveled and tried the BIC single-edge razors. Not as nice as a shave with my regular el-cheapo Lord razor, however not bad. I used it again today at home for giggles and grins ... I think that perhaps we should recommend usign BICs to newbies in order for them to get a feel for DE shavi...

What is the value of these?

I have a couple items I purchased from this site a couple years back. I used them both for around a month before they made their way to the back of my medicine cabinet. I am going to sell them sometime soon and wonder the value of these now. I have a Rooney Style 1, Size 1 in Super Silvertip, and a ...

It is cliche, but can't we all just get along. I myself have made the choice since that day to strive to ...

Understood, I don't know how they make such fine razors and such crap blades IMHO. Now you are gonna get the rest of the story... It's called YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). There are a few on this forum that have no problem with the Merkur Razor Blade. I'm one who happens to like Merkur Razors and M...

First shave with the vision 2000

I switched from my electric shaver to disposable razors, then to a fusion over the past year. I finally decided I would like to try out a nice DE so I purchased a Merkur Vision 2000 from Tye on the trading forum here. First shave was last night with the new razor. I loaded a merkur blade that came w...
