Truefitt and Hill Ultimate Shaving Cream - 03.09 http://www.postimage.org/Pq1ylbl0.jpg This is definitely one of Truefitt's finer products, which is saying a lot. Like other T&H creams, it lathers up richly, perhaps only a shade less so than Trumper's but a bit more than Taylor's. It does seem ...

As a Honda supplier I am privvy to stuff that the general public is not aware of. In the last four months, Honda has made shifts in production locations and quantities that would take Detroit at least two years to achieve. I am talking about consolidating large engine vehicle production from three ...

I just (12/13) got free shipping on my order of cologne sampler. Basically just had to spend the $8. There was also a discount on shave sets. Don't know if it's still around, but I'd recommend checking out the site from time to time because they seem to be offering different deals on a rotating basis.

I'm also a fan of the Trafalgar, and am looking forward to picking up the cologne as the balm and shave cream are fantastic smelling. Good man! I used the Trafalgar cream and AS lotion from my sampler pack this morning. The scent was so superb I lathered up three times rather than my usual two. Sti...

Well, I allow Chris this one minor lapse, without undue admonishment, as generally his taste is impeccable. Actually, Grafton, along with Lime, are their best colognes now, IMO. And they are the two oldest, going ALL the way back to the 1980s.....sigh. Regards, Gordon I used Grafton cream, aftersha...

As far as the T&H shaving creams are concerned, my favourites are their Lavender and their Rose. In addition to being excellent products to shave with ( which all of them are ), they are very classic and very well done scents. Not overbearing, but present. The T&H Lavender is my substitute ...

Simply put, there's NOTHING that can compete when it comes to a job with job satisfaction. If you're in a boring job that doesn't fulfill you, the salary, closeness, etc won't compensate. You can always renegotiate the mileage on the lease (or threaten to turn it in, which will freak them out). Lett...

So far, I've tried the following T&H products: Grafton (cream and cologne): I didn't like this very "perfumey" smell - seems very dainty. 1805 (cream): I'm not a fan of this either - can't really say why, though. Indian Limes: close, but something's a little off. Trafalgar: My favorite...

Japanese car manufacturers did not gain their reputation overnight -- There's a certain tone-deafness in the CEO offices in Detroit, too. They fought tooth and nail against increases in CAFE -- while Toyota, Honda, VW, and many other manufacturers just went ahead and dealt with it. GM management ma...

Joseph Banks is always having deep discounted sales on their website. I'm sure you could find some very reasonably priced french cuff (or "double cuff" as our English friends call them) shirts there. Cufflinks are a good thing - congratulations to you for such a thoughtful gift. I'm sure h...

Marriage is tough business - just know that you're not alone, and that even "perfect" couples have had their rough spots.

Best wishes.

1805...what's the scent?

When using T&Hs 1805 shaving cream this AM, I wondered what the scent is. Is it velvetier? Fern? It's very distinctive. I'm pretty sure its a classic one because one of the TOBS creams I once had gave the virtually identical scent. It might have been Mr. Taylor's or the Barbershop cream. Any hel...

I think its generally true you'll overpay for a brush at a store like AOS or the Grooming Lounge (GL) here in DC. The same C&E brush sells for much more at the GL. It's a really nice brush for the $$$, but you pay about $30 more at the G.L.

Ironically, the Japanese learned from the American process post WWII on how to optimize their performance. Could some lessons not be reciprocated in this instance? US (and other nations) firms are constantly looking to Toyota, Sony and other such firms for clues. This was the birth of the whole &qu...

Let's remember that, until recently, Chrysler was run by German-owned Daimler. That European adventure was a financial debacle for both Daimler and Chrysler. Just at the time Daimler was "merging" with Chrysler, I was working in Chrysler's International Division as a consultant. Plastered...
