I know that they're loved by some and looked down upon by others, but is there any real point to trying the Feather AC razors as a first-swing straight?

I've tried all three of those creams, and found all of them to be great for shaving with. I prefer the rose for the scent.

I own and have used both the Merkur HD (non-comb) and slant bar. The slant bar is, in my opinion, a superb razor. It gives a great, clean, shave with no irritation and BBS almost without fail. I've been using the Merkur slant for a few weeks straight now, and I haven't experienced that issue.

I have had blood appear mysteriously on a BBS shave that feels as if it's got no irritation, but that's just from doing one or nine too many passes.

I've found myself able to resist the lure of RAD and SBAD, content with SCAD (which I believe I've overcome by-in-large).
