The placement of the "new Ireland" bit is slightly off and I thought it was you lot that talked really funny?

Richard, no plans to make a purchase just yet. The shave I had with the Feather blade was fantastic and my first reaction was, "I need more of these!" Best of all, no pulling, which is not something I could claim for the Derby or Merkur. Hopefully, it stays that way. I may try to find a sa...

Best Place to Buy Feather Blades?

I used a Feather blade for the first time this morning and am already sold on them. Certainly superior to the Derbys or Merkurs I have used for years.

Where do people get the best deal on the 100-blade boxes?

Gordon, I am disappointed to hear that about the Mayfair cologne as I was holding out hope for it. However, now you have me wondering about the Albany. I think I will contact Harris and enquire about samples. Oh, and Norfolk definitely would not be a desirable name for a cologne. "Why yes, I do...

Perhaps Trumpers concocted the cologne and thought, "like that, smells a bit nouveau riche."

"Hey, who was that American bloke that bought his way into the peerage? Astor? Yes, I like that... sounds a bit like Aston Martin as well. Print the labels!"

I also thought it strange, especially when paired with Curzon, Wellington and Marlborough.

Hi Gordon. It is funny how Trumpers promotes both Eucris and Astor as having much older origins. Particularly Astor, which would seem to date back to Edwardian times. I quite like them both but still have not settled my search for a secondary cologne (behind Trumpers Spanish Leather). Being a relati...

Very true Squire. I very much hope they do not turn to manufacturing outside of England.

For me the Trumper is similar but not as nice as the Penhaligon. The problem with the Penhaligon is simply the price. It borders on ridiculous in my mind.

Also, I think the Trumper Fern only comes in those small 50g spray bottles now?

Astor or Eucris?

While thinking of purchasing a new cologne, I discovered two old Trumper sample vials I had some time ago. They reminded me how much I like both Astor and Eucris. The two share many similarities to me, with Eucris coming across a little stronger. Does anyone here have a preference between the two? I...

Of what I have tried from T&H, I believe the Lavender cream is their best product. The Salter soap does not smell like the cream. It has a very light scent with a very mild Lavender undertone. I placed the soap in an empty T&H Lavender container in the hope it might become imbued with the cr...

I just discovered I can order a sample from Connaught. Maybe that is the best course of action.

Reusing leaves tends to be applicable to green/white teas more so than black. I never reuse my black tea leaves. Regarding the use of milk or sweetener, it depends on what you like. I do not add anything to my tea but used to add one lump of sugar. It is quite common to add milk but, for me, the tea...

Trumpers Almond and Lime Soaps

Alright. It is time to clear out what I am not using. These are both great soaps but sit, practically unused, in my drawer: Trumper Lime shave soap in original wooden bowl (used maybe five times) Trumper Almond shave soap in original wooden bowl (used maybe seven/eight times) I am offering these for...

In my early twenties I moved to England for a year. Young and naive, I always imagined moving there and being welcomed "home". After all, my family tree is entirely English and I was born in Newfoundland, essentially a British colony until 1949 and a place that still flies the Union Jack o...
