Like Gordon, there could be a lemon in every brand or make.
I love the Emillion and the replacement one I received seems fine so far. There are many who have had no problems with their Rooney brushes. Having 2 in a row could just be some bad luck.

I rarely post, but I just wanted to chime in. I had an Emillion for about a month. While I really loved the density of the brush and it's soft tips, it was losing between 2 to 10 hairs per shave. I think there will be the odd shedder in every brand and make of brush. Jim at Vintagebladesllc.com (Gre...

I had the same experience as beas33. I was intrigued by the ingredients and the description of the product on the label. I also decided to give the face wash and balm a try. While none of the ingredients should have been a problem for me..., I had some sort of allergic reaction and developed red dry...

Since you are new to wetshaving, a mild razor would probably be the way to go and I would agree with many in saying a vintage gillette such as a super speed or Tech would be the way to start. If finding one in serviceable condition is difficult or like my roommate you have a germ phobia and cringe e...

I just found the Dorco made in Korea blades in my local 99cent olny store. I was excited to see them and happy to find another option to the usual ASR (Persona, Gem, Treet options). Unfortunately, I was not happy with these, they tugged my facial hair and I found them to give me a very uncomfortable...

The Crystals are the Israeli made Super + Platnums that many have found to be great blades, especially if you buy them as a 100 pack for $10-$20. Such as at this website http://www.encure.com/hb.htm . Basically the best bang for the buck. The CVS blades per blade are more expensive and are the US ma...

You have definitely gotten a bad one. I have a Weishi, and the blade exposure is even on both sides. While the razor is very mild for me, it is a very solid well made item. I think it is a great razor to start learning to shave with a DE. You may consider just trading it for a replacement. The Merku...

I've been shaving with DE razor's for over 25 years. I could shave with more mild settings on my razors (fatboy's, slims, Future, Black beauty, injector's of all sorts) but then I require many many passes to get the close shave I like. BBS is a near impossibility with my beard and skin I just try to...

I like the Metals for traveling as well, great shave. I can only get 2 shaves out of one and then I start cutting myself with it. I stockpiled about 60 of these when I found out my local Walmart was going to stop carrying them. Bought a few more when Big Lots had them for a while. I only use them fo...

I've been using US Personna's for years lately I buy them locally at a 99cent only store. I have always been happy with them. I've also used Merkurs which give me a closer shave but I find them less comfortable. I find feather great except I need to give my face a couple days break after 3 days of c...

I tried again the last couple of days with the box I have, and again I found the Dorco's Smooth but just not sharp enough to get the close shave I am used to. 3passes + touch up to get a smooth face is all I need with a Personna, Merkur, Feather and more recently I have tried my first shave with a D...

I have been using it since it was recently posted here in the forums that CVS was carrying it, and I do find it to be quite good especially since it is so inexpensive. My only issue with it is the scent. I find the odor to perfumey for my tastes. But I like my balms unscented or as close to it as po...
