Re: Screw bottom of a DE razor

Bought this one https://www.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderDeta ... 5723023007

They had lined ones, octagon, rubber, chrome and knurl handles. This has a long handle. It might be good or it might be slippery

Re: Screw bottom of a DE razor

Sam, you could either buy another $20.00 razor, like the one you have, to last you for another couple of years, or you could get something more robust. I seriously doubt that a new $20.00 razor is repairable. If you liked an EJ in the past, I would recommend you get another one. I'm not sold on the...

Re: Screw bottom of a DE razor

its not a Gillette or old one. One of those $20 razors, and if I search my posts can probably find it. No clicking, just that round little know on the bottom and somehow it just comes the tad bit loose and opens up the blade exposure. Been my daily shaver for over two years I bet. I have a couple of...

Screw bottom of a DE razor

I had gotten some sort of razor that you release the blade by unscrewing the bottom of the handle, the wings at top open and you replace and screw the wings back down. For some reason, that screw mechanism does not come off the knob. What is happening now is that while shaving, it comes loose and th...

Re: electric shaver

Yak, you won't get many responses since we share in the delight of a proper razor, and not a multi-bladed one. However, I was in Costco and saw a Phillips and I was wondering how these things shaved. I had one in high school. Started off with the safety/DE razor and then got I think a Norelco and so...

Re: My Purchase of the Decade

Good thread. I guess most of my purchases and trying things out were back when this forum was starting and a few years afterward. Went through straight razors and settled on stuff, so really, just the soaps and creams - I am down to just creams now

Re: Colonial Drug...The Cabinet of Curiosities

I had tried some tea tree Coates. Preferred the limes and
Rose. But i do miss the first version of Trumpers violet before it changed. Wonder what happened to the guy who had those small travel sized versions of Coates?

My wife and I have the same birthday in January. We give each other a gift of going somewhere. One year it was NYC at CHristmas, one year Mexico. Trying to decide for this year.

Re: What bath soap are you using right now?

Been using various artisinal soaps, Italian soaps from TJ Maxx, and Kirks Castile. And Mitchell's Wool Fat Prefer the MWF for face washing, but when my stash runs out (two or three more soaps) I will go back to the Yardley soaps you can get for $1 or so at Walmart or Dollar Tree. Smell and lathering...

Pass the dutchies on the left-hand side . . . Chris Too funny sir!!! We have Gibsons and Alton Brown has called them the best doughnuts he has ever eaten. Maple bacon doughnuts get served at our church for Father's Day, but the men let the ladies and children have them anyway. But these look so goo...

Any preference between the olive oil or butter? I am thinking butter for the flavor profile.

Re: Gym headphones

I went on Amazon and got some Tozo T10 buds for $41 shipped. Was about to get a refurbished pair of Elite 65T by Jabra, the Active version, for $80 shipped on the Jabra store on Ebay, but these got great reviews and one or two sites, consumers rated them higher overall. I can always give them to the...

Re: What Bath soap/Body Wah do you use?

I tried Vinola because of Gordon Got me one bar left of Mitchell's Wool Fat I have a daughter that gets free goats milk soap from time to time from an artisan - she sent me one. And I got a cold-pour soap in Asheville, NC because of the smell (olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil, aloe vera, some stu...

Can you use wireless earbuds or headphones at a gym that has machines that use a jack to hear the Tv or cycling program? Do i need some sort of transmitter ? Any recommendations on which earbud or headphones work well on eliptical machines and treadmills? May or may not use my IPhone XR for Spotify ...

Re: Well, trip to the Internist for yearly physical and...

Brian, I do love bread. Or as my wife says, bread is the delivery tool to get more butter into my mouth. I go to an Italian restaurant that serves fresh bread and that Italian oil/butter stuff, and I ask for real butter. Four or five pieces later. Oh, and then the dessert. But I am enjoying reading ...

Re: Sharpening Kitchen Knives

I have but two, what I would call chef-quality, knives. I have used the Spyderco blade system that has a ceramic stone and done that twice to the knives, but I also have a rod that I use after each cutting, and then I wipe the blade down

Thanks Clive. I have noticed that the pants are not as tight in the waist. The weight has come off slowly, and I have not followed a diet, per se, as much as watching the amount of food. I mean, I could eat a Big Mac and fries and go get a cheeseburger at lunch and then at night, a steak dinner or b...
