Re: Badger brush - been out of the game a bit

Bryan, it has been a while but yes, I will check that out. I do love my Verdman brush, and love the handle. I like the colofrul displays of the resin and how each handle is different because of the veining. I did love the first SMF brush with that wooden handle. Never got a Tulip, I think Gordon lov...

Re: Deodorant

I think the health concern about antiperspirants has been the use of aluminum hydroxide, or some other form of aluminum, as the antiperspirant agent. I never had a problem with heavy underarm perspiration; I just wanted odor control, so there was never a good reason for me to resort to an antipersp...

Re: Badger brush - been out of the game a bit

Yeah I’m thinking I may get Chris Moss to help me with all the different types of hair for shave Mac but I’d probably go back with that. Or buy a Rooney from him

Re: bag of blades /merkur

I visited a cousin in Columbia and made a day trip to Charleston. BBQ in the Carolinas is different than what we have in Memphis. I’ll be in Asheville, North Carolina the week of Thanksgiving. Love the mountain area

Re: Deodorant

Tried the Art of Sport, Compete (red) version. Nice smell, sorta like any other commercial scent that Target carries. However, after an hour I felt that it was non existant. I read up on reviews and they say that it works if you go to the gym and sweat. And like the Dove for Men, it says effectivene...

Deodorant

Does anybody have any thoughts or experience with a new brand called Art of Sport? It was developed in partnership with Kobe Bryant and James Harden recommends it. Supposedly it’s all natural, including the plant-based derivative of propylene glycol. It’s a little bit higher priced than some of the ...

Re: Almost Halloween

We have houses that have done up something like this, making the front yard like a cemetary. Tots may be scared by I have some older grandchildren that say those are the houses they want to hit up first

Re: Shavemac DO-1 2 band knot

Well, the beehive handle rocks for me. But I do miss the XL Shavemac, i think it was the 28 or30 mm knot, that was just so luxurious on my face. I know Gordon loved the tulip and the Chubby was always just a Simpson. But that beehive and in butterscotch (never had this color, just saw pics). Dont kn...

Re: Black jeans and jeans in general

Clive, I am to the point that I would rather have one pair of jeans I just love then to have three pair just to be having three pair; 99% of people I would run into would never know I had just one pair of jeans or that I even wore them three days in a row. Let me lose 20 lbs and I will get custom ma...

Re: Shavemac DO-1 2 band knot

Chris, I acquire and then having too many choices seems to make me feel greedy, wasteful, so I pare down. Yes, I regret getting rid of razors, soaps, creams, brushes, colognes. Sometimes I think the fun is in the acquisition, not the usage.

brothers wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2020 7:17 am Sam, I bought a pair of black Wranglers a couple of years ago because I wanted a change from the blue jeans, and I like wearing them. I think they'd go quite well with boots and a jacket.
I don't see Wranglers out when I shop. Maybe Tractor Supply Company may have them.

Re: Black jeans and jeans in general

I’ve a pair of black Levis 516. I like the cut and fit of them, but I find the denim heavy. I prefer lighter weight material and tend to stick with jeans from Tommy Bahama and Brax. I think that black jeans look good, certainly more to my taste than the washed out blues that are all too common. I p...

Re: Black jeans and jeans in general

Thanks Clive. I will probably get Levis, Lee or Wranglers.; When I lose some weight, there is a store in Nashville called Imogene and Willie's that sorta makes a custom pair for you around $200 and that is about the price of the Japanese and niche brands in the article. Right now, I have a husky tum...
