Astra Superior Platinums are IMHO as sharp as Feathers but much smoother. You can get 100 for $11 about $15 or so shipped from Barber Depot

The package is exactly the same and the blades shave the same.

I verified that the blades are identical in appearance as well.

I found the Weishi to be the least aggressive razor I have ever used.

Astra Blades at BarberDepot

Just an FYI

I went to http://www.barberdepots.com/shaving/

Called them
ordered 100 Astra Superior Platinum blades
I received the blades in like two days. Was $11 plus about $3 shipping.

I would buy from them again.

FYI to those posting about the Weishi, we are not discussing the Cotton Blossom $15 Weishi. This is a new Gunmetal Weishi Thought it was about the Box. I don't see anything in this thread about the new gun metal finish except for your post. BTW, it is the same razor with an alternate finish....

Wendell, Yeah, it's really more of a heavy oinment or unguent. Personally, like the pre-shave oils, I didn't find that it improved my shave one iota, and since menthol doesn't agree with me, it was definately a no-go. To be frank, I think that most of the gents here who are eager to seek out 'pre-s...

My wife picked up some proraso pre/post shave so I use it whenever I use Proraso to shave. I like the way it makes my skin feel and the shave is normally really good. Not sure if it is really helping or not though.

I have used their shave cream, it works really well. I prefer the Black Ice scent though. It has an Anise scent to it that I like.

I heard their A/S Balm is excellent also
