Re: Plisson HMW vintage

Out of the humidor... I bought this brush on Ebay.fr i think in 2006 or so. Don't know anything about its origins. Could very well be from the seventies as Buzz said. Don't know if it's HMW or EW. It only says "pur blaireau" or "pure badger". The handle is made from hor...

Re: New Rooney Polo

This Rooney was offered by Classicshaving in a limited batch a few years ago, i believe 2008 or so, can't remember it exactly. It has a remarkable fine gauged yet fairly resilient kind of badger. An extraordinary brush imo.... http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/pvlpeter/pvlpeter2/bd98264c76803...

Sam,

John is right. Lee will make the brush to your requirements.
Although he's not really responsive and most of the time out of reach lately.... :(

I can confirm your impressions John. I have the same brush from CS and the hair is identical to finest. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/pvlpeter/BFAA81CA-3C1F-4818-8587-5FEA255222E3-958-0000010242AB3F53_zps5a59b310.jpg http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/pvlpeter/77E42FB2-A905-4890-A20...

I'm still following SMF every day. Apart from about 12 Manchurian Simpsons i hardly bought any brushes last year. I sold quite a lot instead. Spending more time to my other passion, buying and smoking Havanna cigars. Currently my stock holds around 1600 pieces and 12 porcelain cigar jars... :) http:...

I've sold a lot of Somersets to John and i do not see any objection in his monthly requests. As far as i'm concerned he'll continue to do so. I'll be happy to sell him Somersets...that's to say, if i can part with them... :)

Sam wrote:Peter what size is that large Beehive? One might consider an XL Shavemac brush, which is 30mm knot I believe and just decadent on the face.
Here are the specs Sam:

TH 22 cm
HH 11,3 cm
LH 10,7 cm
KD 60 mm
weight 972 gr.

Quite a behemoth if i may so..
