http://i.imgur.com/iHLca7Y.jpg After five years or so using a straight, I'm slipping back into the DE world again. Little trusty Shavemac Badger. Coates Sandalwood (original formulation) Merkur 180 (it is quite mild, but I shave my head too, and it is a dream on the dome) Some fresh Trumpers Lime s...

The feet. Look at the size of the FEET. Or is that foreshortening? Or is it just this dog has HUUUUGE FEET? That is not special effects. He does have huge feet. Hopefully he will grow into them sometime soon. So far I have taught him his name, to sit, and to let me take his harness off and put it o...

Aye, they are not gaurd dogs at all. They have been bred to be non-aggresive to humans. Hard to train, willful, intelligent in all the ways that can annoy (and amaze). Escape artists and destroyers of property. There is a reason I named this one Loki. I knew all this when I agreed to take the pup in...

I saved a pup today
I got a call today from a friend who runs a fishing camp/trailer park. It seems that somebunny left a dog there and it had been bothering folk. He was wondering if I knew anybody who wanted a husky pup before he called animal control. I've owned a couple of Huskies in the past and have always had a ...

I like to lather on the face and my preference are smaller brushes. by those preferences, I suggest the Moss Scuttle (small). This choice will likely provide the warmest lather with least ability to lather in the scuttle, although w/ a small brush, a few pumps and twirls still mixes things up enoug...

While I have shaved with a Lynn honed razor that was truly the sharpest thing I have ever encountered, I have also had a razor honed by a pro (not Lynn) and it returned to me not completely ready. This was sorted and returned and all was made good, but it happens. Lynn is human, and it is possible t...

Brown Widow Infestation
At first, it was just a few. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v607/iacchus/brownwidow_zoom.jpg Last year I found a big one who had built a web behind the driver's seat in my truck. Past that, it was one here or there, which I am fine with. Rural life includes these things, it's part of the package....
