Re: Where to get the Valobra stick (US)?
I agree. But next time I'll try Connaught Shaving hoping for fresher soaps, even though they're more expensive (from UK). Charles at QEDMan used to wrap Valobra's with stretch film to preserve their freshness. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/hicabi/val.jpg Normally the color should be light...

Re: Where to get the Valobra stick (US)?
Update: Ten Valobra sticks arrived from Dennis (detailsformen) as expected. They're rather dated (fresh ones have a different color and smell nice) but that's also Valobra's fault, as they don't shrink wrap their soaps.

Re: Where to get the Valobra stick (US)?
Thanks. I'll wait a little longer, and then place a dispute though my credit card. I should be able to get a refund that way. And of course share my experience so that people take notice. I did a search on the store before placing an order, and read some positive reviews on the forums, all belonging...

Re: Irisch Moos
Just shaved with IM today. Shame they discontinued both Tabac and IM sticks.
I'm thinking about stocking 20 or 30 Valobra sticks just in case.
I'm hoarder for sure. Still enjoying the Swedes. Glad I stocked 225 of them before they went extinct

Re: Where to get the Valobra stick (US)?
West coast shaving sells for $12.99 but it's out of stock. QED used to sell for $9 but they stopped carrying Valobra stick a while ago. I wish they didn't. Connaught shaving has free shipping to US above $65. So if bought enough, it comes down to about $13.40. I just found out that Detailsformen ha...

Where to get the Valobra stick (US)?
Hi,
I am running low on the Valobra stick, my favorite shave soap. Any ideas as to where I can get some at a reasonable cost? Some are available on Ebay for around $22, which is rather steep. QED used to carry them for $9 each, but he's out... Any other places?
Thanks.

Re: Irisch Moos shaving cream ?
As an alternative to the discontinued stick, has anyone tried the Irisch Moos Lathering Shave Cream? I see it is available on eBay and Amazon both. Damn. I just e-mail QED asking why the stick was no longer available... Tabac stick is gone too. If they kill Valobra and Arko as well, I'll have no op...

On the subject of shave sticks: I just don't get it. Don't see the point. Don't see how it's any easier than using a soap puck... I find them to be awkward and annoying... I use shave sticks as much as I use soaps. If I am in a hurry, I definitely prefer the stick. Wet your face, rub the stick, use...

I bought this for travel. http://www.shavemyface.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18953 Ended up using it all the time. I tried several other brushes, including Rooney's finest 1-1, Simpson's Duke 3, two custom Shavemacs, etc. I got rid of most of them and bought a second Dovo Travel brush. Highly recommen...

You travel. It may get lost. What happens then? The worst case, it will be a very nice gift to a loved one. This is how I convinced myself to get a second Dovo travel brush. I plan to use the same reasoning to get a chrome Futur in addition to the gold one I have. I don't plan on getting the Satin o...

I use them until there is more bowl than soap showing, past that point it becomes too much of a chore to lather away at, soap is cheap after all. On the other hand, with this soap, I would just continue using it, you may never get another puck Well, I do have four more pucks in the line :) Just pur...

Excellent bath soap for the Mediterranean people where the olive trees grow... The first press goes to the family, second press to distributors, third is good for making soap... My grand-dad used to make their own olive soap. The soap smells wonderful and is very good for the skin. You can even wash...
