Good thing I already have 510 of these bad boys. I think I'm set until the run on blades is over. :)

p.s. If anyone wants to buy some, I'll sell them to you for $5 a blade plus shipping, a $10 handling fee, and a $5 documentation fee. :):)

How many shaves for an injector blade?

I've been using the newer (Chinese, I think) Schick injector blades. Usually, with a DE and a Super Iridium, I'm only getting 3 shaves out of it. I have a thick, curly beard. I went ahead and did a 4th shave with the Injector and it was still smooth. How many shaves are usual from an injector blade?

Just ordered some of the Chinese blades off of Amazon. My current pack is running low and I didn't want to be caught without a supply. I usually have a habit of switching back and forth among my DEs trying to decide which one I like best. I'm 3 shaves into the Injector and I don't see myself switchi...

Sunday:

Razor: Injector L1
Blade: Schick Injector
Brush: Shavemac 44140
Cream: Coates Limited Edition
A/S: Bump Patrol
A/S Balm: AOS Unscented

2nd shave with the injector. Simply amazing for me. 2 passes and no irritation or nicks. This may replace all my DEs!

Paul, Well there you go. Now you see why I used to routinely recommend these things to newbies wanting to get into more traditional shaving. "Easier and quicker than a DE...", yep, and as you noticed the business about having to find the correct blade angle is taken out of the equation, w...

Thanks for the link. I'll have to order some of the Chinese blades until some of the NOS ones pop back onto Ebay.

I've not seen any injector blades at salon supply stores, though I was expecting at least some Pellas would show up. Certain drugstores will have store-branded Personnas and maybe sometimes a Schick, but the best bet is still online. Speaking of which, I was checking eBay availability of the NOS Sc...

First Shave with an Injector

Had my first shave with my injector this morning and it was pretty amazing. I've had this razor for a while but hadn't shaved with it until today. I believe it's an L1. I had about 4 days worth of growth and it mowed my hairs down with ease. The razor took care of the angle for me so I just focused ...

Tuesday, early morning shave:

Razor: Muhle R89
Blade: Super Iridium (3rd)
Cream: Cremo Cream
Styptic pencil on slice! Ouch!
A/S: Speick
A/S balm: AOS Unscented

Got myself pretty good between my chin and cheek. The Cremo is pretty slick but I'm not used to it yet. I still need more protection!

Blade: Super Iridium (2nd)
Brush: Semogue 1305

So does that mean all of you are being forced to check in luggage, pay $25 and go through the hassle of lugging an extra piece of baggage? This sucks coz I totally was looking forward to moving to the safety razor shaving method from my cartridge shaving. What do you guys do then if you're the kind...
