Shaving Cream?

I've used numerous soaps and love the different smells. However, I manage to get the best lather from the only tube cream I've used, Musgo Real. I love it. I'm reaching the end of my tube, and I'd love to try other brands. What would you suggest? I like menthol shaving cream (from my old gel in a ca...

Martlet, What type DE are you seeking. I'm in the same boat Tony is in. I'm preparing for retirement and plan to sell most of my non users. I may have one you want. I'm not looking for anything special, and honestly don't know that much about them. My straights will be my primary collection, and th...

Would like to try DE

I've been straight shaving for about 7 months now. I'm running into a problem, though. I spend some time "in the field", and stropping/carrying/shaving with a straight can be a pain, particularly since there are times when I don't have a mirror or hot water, nor the time for a proper strai...

That falls more under metallurgical engineering :D My advice is to point the metal separator at the competitor.. That ensures prompt delivery 8) Don't forget the bonus travel and lodging that goes along with that action.(when performed in a civilian setting, of course) Not if you catch them ...

What sort of fieldwork do you do? I do a couple of months a year of geophysical stuff (mostly IP and mag). My field work is geophysical as well. It consists mainly of the metals brass and lead. My primary research is developing unique and speedy ways to separate the lead from the brass and deliver ...

It was probably her then. Thanks. I fired her off an email. Hopefully, she still sells those sampler packs, too. They were great for the field.

Soap by Colleen?

I've been "away" and returned soapless and stupid. Here and SRP are the only shaving sites I remembered visiting. I bought a few soaps before I left, but only really liked the soap from one vendor. I think it was Colleen, but I can't remember. Has anyone used her soap? It was either sugges...

[Were this a news story, and written as such, it would have been a factual tone with a focus on sources and a paper trail. This is not the case, though. The editorial kicks up a "Bush hates the environment" on the first page and carries it throughout. The entire premise upon which the art...

If whether or not global warming is real isn't important in relevance to the article, then article holds no weight. The logical syllogism fails. If someone deliberately seeks to mislead the public, whether he lies so that we believe a truth, or lies so that we believe a falsehood, is moot. You're i...

The point here is not about global warming and whether it's real or not. The point concerns the Administration's policy regarding global warming---how it was shaped, who contributed, what effects it's had, etc. It's a policy point. If it's not real, who cares? It's just another editorial published ...

I have a collection. My latest is a S & W 1911 5" Stainless. It's quite the piece. I had a holster made for it, and it's become my carry piece. My favorite pistol is now a toss up between that and my Sig P220TT. The 1SG just picked up a Glock 36 single stack that feels great. I may have to ...

I had an injury that laid me up for some time, and at the end of it all I had to lose 50 pounds to get back my desired weight. It took me three months. I too, read many diet books, exercise routines, and weight loss plans. I finally realized they were all worth crap to me. I ended up taking the phil...

Getting started....

I've never shaved with a straight razor, but I'm going to give it a shot. I've seen lots of suggestions on this, and other, sites. There's a ton of great information out there. Ultimately, I'm not prepared to go out and buy a complete quality set for 350 bucks like I've seen advertised. Since this i...
