well Sam, you got the right attitude and only you can make the decisions you need too. You know you have my prayers and well wishes. Use a big enough Tupperware-type of container.... crumple full sheets of newspaper into the container... put the case (open) in there and make sure it is surrounded by the newspaper ....loosely packed... not tight. Need air space as well. Put the lid on it. Leave it sit for a couple of days. Then ju...

Gramps, why a naked DE blade using your hands? I've tried that before, and it's awful. Why not just stick it in a holder? Don't have a holder, aka. Shavette Open blade does not clog up.... No need to use the scissors before shaving.... Whiskers just roll up the blade and are easily rinsed off.... I...

I happen to like the IP blades found on ebay, for the times I am not using my str8s. Most ridulous expenditure this year..... I haven't been spending much, as I don't have it, but when I saw DOSSHKEY had a "sale" on "Buy It Now" at $4.95/box I immediately got the 2 boxes. Then I ...

Greetings and welcome to the board. with 1/8th whiskers you shouldn't have too much trouble shaving them off. Soak your beard well with very warm water, not HOT, and even apply some soft soap/cream with your hands and rub in well. Then apply a warm water soaked towel and let it sit for a minute or t...

A guy went into a bar and noticed a jar full of 20 dollar bills on the counter. He asked the bartender, "What's the jar of money all about?" Bartender says, "oh, it's a contest we've been running here for some time. If you can make the donkey, tied up out back laugh, then you win the ...

Always had Zippos! Current favorite is a 1941 Heavy Brass and I don't find a "problem" taste with cigars, or my pipes. I know it sounds somewhat barbaric to light a nice pipefull with a Zippo, rather than a wooden match... but I actually do not like the sulphur smell from the match! Zippo....

I posted this a long time ago, maybe time to revisit...... If you have access to a microwave, take about a litre of water in a suitable container, heat to a comfortable shave temperature and add a tablespoon of table salt. This will soften the water. It is not enough salt to harm the razor or dull a...

Greetings Rob!
If I have need of my styptic pencil, I wet it, roll it over the cut, rinse it and then when done with my shave, roll it over the corner of the towel to take any excess moisture away and put it back in the tube.
Easy as 1-2-3.....
