I think the Body Shop brush is probably one of the most face-lathering unfriendly brushes around. At least in my opinion. It's extremely stiff (unless you've used it you have no idea), which means you can't mush the brush into your face all that well (which I like to do when face-lathering). Having ...

Almost all shaving innovations for the last century have been about perceived 'convenience' ( and, of course, profits for the inventor/manufacturer ), not about an actual improvement in the shave itself. I could say the same about DE razors, but that doesn't stop the majority of the people on the f...

I sent them an email last night, and got a reply saying that when I asked them about the contents last year, the current batch didn't have any animal hair, but that since then they'd introduced boar into it. And that the new hair mix they are working on won't contain any animal hair. The email also ...

Huh. I've asked them as well. I sent them an email asking if there was any animal hair (for instance boar) in the imitation badger brush, and got this reply (the exchange was in July last year): Thank you for your email. With regards to your question, The imitation brushes are synthetic and not boar...

The Omega Sintex brushes are the cheap ones, they have completely white nylon bristles. The brush pictured is one of their high-end synthetic brushes. I think the Sintex isn't bad for the price (usually ~$10), although you get a flopmonster, it'll work just fine though. Omega's high-end synthetics a...

probably the brush is the most expensive shaving item we buy and it is one of the keys of getting the best shave possible I disagree, an expensive brush is more about making it a little bit easier for yourself, and perhaps a bit more comfortable. You can get excellent lather with really cheap brush...
