Anyone interested in Atra or Trac II razors?

I have new and used razors that take Trac II and Atra blades, from Gillette, Dorco, and Schick. If anyone is interested, I'll figure out prices. Here are new Gillette Atra and Trac II's I'm selling on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273467933182 https://www.ebay.com/itm/273431970897 https://www.ebay....

A bunch of them probably won't be a problem. Just extract one at a time as you need them.

Re: SOLD: Vintage NOS Wilkinson 'Light Brigade' DE Razor Blades

Even when I got the metal top off the holder, the blades were so stuck to each other that I used a worn blade to separate them.

Re: Focus R48 Dynamic SE Razor

The first time I tried an old Wilkinson, I cut myself in two or three places. I'm going to have to use just this razor for a while with the same blade if I want to get the hang of it. The technique is so different from what I'm used to. With a regular DE razor, I can adjust the angle, pressure, etc....

Minor brush repair - worn shellac

I have a wooden brush where the finish is wearing off in a few small spots. Is there something simple I can do to restore it, preferably low or no maintenance? It's not an expensive brush, so my fallback is to do nothing or buy a new one, maybe with a resin handle to avoid such problems. But I hate ...

Re: SOLD: Vintage NOS Wilkinson 'Light Brigade' DE Razor Blades

I'm selling some Sensor razors on eBay, and within the models (Sensor/Sensor Excel), the buyers make a big distinction between ones made in different years. Even being made in the USA isn't enough. The earliest ones attract the most buyers, even at much higher prices. These aren't collectors, either...

Re: Gillette Tech blade matching

I used to use Nacet, the 1st shave was quite harsh, nicks and irritation That's what just happened to me on my first shave with a yellow box Russian Gillette (SharpEdge). I don't remember which razor, though it probably was an old style English Rocket. I'm finding that the Maggard slant head is eve...

I think there's a good chance you could tinker with a Gem blade and get it to fit in that razor.

Re: SOLD: Vintage NOS Wilkinson 'Light Brigade' DE Razor Blades

I wonder what the difference is between these blades and the other Wilkinsons made in England in the same era. Did they grind them slightly differently? Different coating?

But I was thinking it could be a good way to get a bunch of wedge blades. Themba would probably love that, if he doesn't already have a dozen by now.

I took a closer look, and I don't think they're wedge blades after all.

Various DE Blades - 20¢ each + $3 shipping for any quantity

I have too many blades, and want to cut back to only a few years supply. :) This is what I have. You can buy singles, except where noted: Gillette Super Silver (one 5-pack only) Astra Superior Platinum* Personna Med Prep ("For Hospital Use") Gillette 7 O'Clock Russian yellow box (SharpEdge)* Gillett...

Re: Cannibidiol CBD - what's up with this stuff?

Someone told me something recently about CBD - that it contains nutrients that disappeared from our diets when marijuana use became criminalized. I don't know how true that is, but it makes me curious about it. I also met someone recently who said that medical marijuana helped a lot with his fairly ...

Re: New Wilkinson Sword TTO (not the classic plastic version) available in Germany

Actually, it's pre-Super Speed, since there's that un-knurled area above the twist knob. Ranger Tech? Are there any markings on it? Is there any information printed on the packaging, such as where it's made? I'd be interested in seeing a picture of the packaging. I'm going to guess the same company ...

Re: FS: NOS Personna 74 Tungsten DE Blades - Last Ones

We need to do a blindfold test at a neutral location of these, plus: the current Personna hospital blades, the non-hospital Personna 74, the Light Brigade Wilkinsons, the Gillette "Spoilers," the Gillette "Swedes," the pre-Gillette Iridiums and Polsilvers (or are they the same thing?), and the Schic...

It's a barber pole handle Super Speed from an alternate universe.

Is it chrome plated or nickel or something else? Does the packaging say where it's made?

Re: Focus R48 Dynamic SE Razor

Well, if you ever get curious... In the meantime, I'll gradually be working out which blades work best. My next one is an old English Wilkinson blade, since it had one damaged edge and I already broke it in half. After that, probably a yellow box Russian blade. I'm not inclined to try a new half-bla...
