I paid $10 on ebay a year ago. Great value, highly recommended. Now I have a Weishi, Merkur HD, Merkur Slant, Gillette travel razor, Feather Portable, and the Krona. It's my 2nd favorite after the Slant. On the road I might prefer the Feather Portable for a quickie--it's more aggressive--but the Kro...

I've tried none but the sandalwood. It's quite a decent scent and a great value.

Some mix in drops of Essential Oils to enhance the scent of their plain witch hazel. I'm using peppermint, rosemary, and lavender, (1.5:2.5:3.5) based on a recipe I ran across elsewhere. Smells great, and I really like it. Peppermint's a bit bracing (in a good way, for me). However, it would be real...

Well, I find that a Slant definitely gives me a smoother shave with fewer passes. I can now get by with one pass--or two at most WTG, no longer necessary to go XTG or ATG except on a really tough patch on my chin.

I love it compared to my old HD and Krona. Highly recommended.

Re: Williams Mug Soap lather?

Hi, for people that use Williams mug shaving soaps, could you post a picture of your lather? I don't think mine is up to par and I want to see if it's perhaps my brush (cheap drugstore one) Here is a link to my topic at B&B about Williams, scroll down to see pics. Remember, this is what my brus...

That looks an awful lot like a plastic Gillette razor available in Asia. In India, it's called the 7 O'Clock Permasharp. Yes. I've tried one of these but found it far too mild, maybe because much of the Asian market doesn't want an aggessive razor. Also, the plastic "hinges" on the top wi...

If you are a Tennessee Whiskey fan, do yourself a favor and try George Dickel. It is unlikely you'll ever drink J D again. +1. JD is SO highly overrated, must be the marketing. George Dickel, Jim Bean Black and esp. Wild Turkey are much, much better. I'd rather not drink bourbon if it had to be JD,...

It also says on the bottle that you can use it for toothpaste and a mouthwash. Yechhhh! could you imagine putting liquid soap on your toothbrush and brushing your teeth with it? :? I made the mistake of trying that once. I found out why mothers threaten to "wash your mouth out with soap."...

Very classy stuff, no doubt, and a ridiculous bargain. I couldn't agree more. It's one of the very few fragrances that I tried in a store and had such an overwhelmingly positive response to it that I bought it immediately. I just tried Habit Rouge EDT today and it had a similar "buy it now!&qu...

Soap doesn't lather well but is rather slick. It might be OK as a base for a superlather with cream like KMF. I used mine up in the shower before I knew about superlathering.

Hrm, they cook just as fast as instant for me. I just boil some water in the kettle and pour over the oats. They can't take longer than a minute. Perhaps I'm eating them too raw/uncooked....but they taste perfectly fine to me. Regular steel-cut oats take at least 10 minutes in the microwave (spread...

You're not doing so badly, considering. You've got a good razor. You've got decent blades that, while not first-rate, many members here do like and use. And you've got an excellent shaving cream. I could happily use Body Shop cream daily, and I do at least once a week. Finally, you're protected from...

Sam, The stuff that T&H is selling today isn't 'Spanish Leather'. It's some modern bastardized concoction that bears no resemblance to any of the few real versions that are still made. . . . Santa Maria Novella offers a version, and some consider that Woods of Windsor for Men to be a Spanish le...

I happened upon a couple of pucks of this English Leather shaving soap at a small grocery in Thailand, of all places, that carries some imported stuff. It's a good soap, smells great (just the right amount of English Leather), lathers well, lasts long. I enjoy using it. I couldn't find out anything ...
