Re: Help me with my Feather SS

I was thinking the same thing Gary. I have glass bead blaster here at work and I have considered using it on the razor--my only issue would be that if it blasts off the existing plating, at he same time it will be blasting the metal where the plating was already removed by the "chemical peel&qu...

Re: Help me with my Feather SS

Oh, I think you misunderstand (more likely I didn't explain well). The razor was never replated. That nice matte finish on the Feather is not stainless steel but some kind of plating that Feather applies. The household cleaner that I put the razor in dissolved some of the plate that came on the razo...

Re: Help me with my Feather SS

I heard back from Razor Emporium. I had asked them if they knew of any options I had and what the problem with Feather razors was. I got a very nice reply. At this time I am out of options for you. I wish I knew someone else who could help you. The problems we are having is Razors getting ruined bec...

Help me with my Feather SS

I bought some off brand soap scum cleaner to clean my shower and when it didn't work well on the tile I said "well at least I can use it as a replacement for Scrubbing Bubbles to clean my razor!". What a mistake!!!!!!!!! This stuff actually removed some of the plating from my Feather SS! I...

Re: Kai double edge blades

Hey Gary, where did you get your Kai DE blades? I was very fond of them a while back when I could get them from Dridiot. Then the supply completely dried up.

Well, crap.

I broke my EJ86 again last night. I swear I did not over-tighten it! I like it snug because I have had nasty results on my face when one comes loose. The last time Edwin Jager sent me a new top section and I was happy. It is the cheap pot metal screw that is breaking. I will not buy another one or e...

Where do you guys get your Pino Sylvestre after shave? The last time I got some it was from Tryphon but the seem to be gone. Thanks in advance. Yeah, I can get it from Amazon but I like the little guys if you know what I mean.

I don't remember who it was that said. "Shaving is like working, If you don't do it every day you look like a bum."

Some one around here is bound to know.

The Worst Nick

I am not a perfect shaver and once in a while I will get a nick or weeper. Usually it happens when I'm in a hurry and I try not to get in a hurry shaving very often. I have nicked myself at the corner of my mouth a couple of times and on the chin a few times and once or twice on the neck. All very m...

cell phone question

My company provides me with a cell phone (ATT) and I get unlimited voice and text but they will not pay for a data package. Only the higher-ups get that and they have to go with Blackberries for security reasons. I have been wondering if I could get a dual sim Android phone and use my company sim fo...

I recently gave my wife a Weishi and she was very happy with it. She was used to using cartridges and when she first tried the Weishi she said that she thought it wasn't working----truth was that it was sharp and not pulling like her old disposable.

The U.S. has a high tarriff on imported wool. I was able to buy a very nice Harris Tweed sport coat in Montreal several years ago that has served me well for a long time. Thanks Canada! That was about the only bargain there though----except for all of the wonderful Canadians I met on my trip! I love...
