FS art of shaving tallow first shaving soaps

These are the old sodium tallowate first formulation. One lemon one unscented. I'd like to sell as a pair. Asking $50 shipped continental U.S. payment by PayPal. Thanks.

Re: Coate's Tea Tree, Sandalwood, Lime, Rose, Almond & Laven

Wow. What a surprise. I don't come around much anymore but am bored at work and saw this. I couldn't resist getting 10 tubes. 4 rose, 4 lavender, 2 tea tree.

Thank you.

Perhaps the Cadet OC head would fit the bill? I've heard it's similar to the Fatip but smoother.

I'm glad you had a good experience, but those brushes still look like Simpsons/Vulfix rip offs to me.

Best of luck in your search, however, you may find that the boar brush is the ideal brush for lathering soaps and that the badger brush does not live up to what you've come to enjoy out of your boar. That's what I found after I ventured back into the badger world after being a boar man for a while. ...

I've been experimenting with an OC Merkur and I'm not loving it. The lack of blade exposure, as the blade sits down right against the comb, makes it a bit difficult to really mow down any hairs. I also have a Gillette NEW Long Comb that I haven't tried out yet. Hopefully that will be a bit more &quo...

I had a NDC super speed once that I wish I had kept. A cake of the old Floris JF shaving soap, which was very nice stuff. And a 2 band Somerset Simpsons Polo 8, although I did find the handle to be a bit chunky. Perfect knot though.

I haven't used the Thater, but my understanding is that the Thater is uber soft, although more firm of a feeling than their three band brushes. The Rooney finest would be much more firm and dense. I've never felt anything like a Rooney finest and frankly it wasn't for me. Too firm and scrubby.

No pre-shave for me either. D.R. Harris' Pink works fine. A less expensive alternative I've found that is alcohol free is Lucky Tiger aftershave tonic. It has a citrus scent to it that is non-offensive. As to soap, again D.R. Harris' are top notch. I would also recommend Speick or Valobra shave stic...

Heard this from West Coast Shaving. Sad if true. Prices on Simpson brushes also went up substantially from U.S. vendors over the last month or so.

Performance being more important than scent to me, this doesn't cause me grave concern; however, I certainly enjoyed the scent of their almond soap, which is quite different from the other floral almond that Geo F Trumper puts out. More concerning is the thought that perhaps this is the first step i...

beautiful brush. I'd buy it but I know from experience that the polo handle is just a bit too "chunky" for me but I don't have big hands. I'm holding out for an Emperor. Someone should definitely scoop this up.
