Re: re Fine Accoutrements tallow shaving soap

RE: TABAC

I recently purchased a new puck and the box is different, but the ingredients listed are the same as my older boxes (although not presented in the same order). So I am assuming it's the same soap. I did not open it because I use the older purchases first.

Re: re Fine Accoutrements tallow shaving soap

In 2007 I got serious about wet shaving with better products, and quality soaps were at the top of the list. As we all know, more and more people -especially men - got into a better shaving experience. So, naturally, people began to market more and more product options. Especially new soaps. Those o...

Re: re Fine Accoutrements tallow shaving soap

I just ordered a puck of Fine Accoutrements Classic Shaving Soap - Fresh Vetiver from an eBay vendor. It was the last one they had.

I sure hope TABAC does not go away, because I use it a lot.

Hi Tim,

Long time since we've talked. I did re-list it. Got busy today so I am just now seeing your comment.

Re: Harris soap reformulation

TRBeck wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 9:02 pm Roger, for my money, this is the best Harris formulation that I've used. I think I've probably had 5-6 versions of Harris soap over the years, all with tallow, and this one is my favorite. Superb soap.
Thanks, Tim. That was what I needed to know.

Thanks, Tim,
How about the performance?

Re: Harris soap reformulation

So, can anyone give a brief review of any scents of the "new" Harris soap? I usually buy Lavender for my wife because she really likes it, but I'm not sure which formula she has.
Thanks

Re: Klar Kabinet vs. Klar Seifen Shaving Soap

I bought all the Klar soaps a few years back when I fell in love with the rose scented Klar Kabinett. I don't find the round pucks in tins behave like the big block of rose. I have Sport, Sandalwood, Ginger-Lotus and Citrus-Leather. All are now in wooden bowls on the shelves of shame, so I don't ha...

Re: Klar Kabinet vs. Klar Seifen Shaving Soap

Roger, I believe they are both made by the same company and essentially the same soap just scented differently. I do have the old Klar Kabinett but never tried the sport. Looking at online sources the ingredients are night identical. The only difference seems to be the scent. Hope that helps. Chris...

Klar Kabinet vs. Klar Seifen Shaving Soap

As some here know, a few years back we could buy Klar Cabinet shaving soap in a large bar. it was well-loved by many but is no longer available. I found Klar Seifen Sport Shaving Soap on Ebay. I'm wondering if it is made by the same company or even if it might be about the same as the Klar Kabinet. ...

Re: experience with vintage badger

My 50 cents worth on this. I got an old Ever-Ready brush a few years back and bought a best badger knot from TGN. It is a very nice knot for the cost and will be fuller than your old one, should you decide to refurb.
