WTT: Krampert, Bey Shave, Aubrey

Hi folks, long time no talk. Hoping you are all well. A couple recent purchases from our friends at West Coast Shaving aren't doing it for me so I thought I would put them up for trade: 1) Krampert's Bay Rum Acadian shaving soap. My skin does not care for it. Used twice; 2) Bey Shave aftershave. Jus...

Postscript #1: I also thank West Coast Shaving for their helpfulness and patience in answering all my semi-neurotic questions. I have never purchased from them before and they are indeed a first-class outfit. They're also in Cali, which means that I should get my shipments nice and quick. So kudos a...

gsgo: I chose Marigold, which I believe in perusing through previous posts was mentioned as Haslinger's own idea of "mild". That being said Marigold doesn't get much publicity, so it's still a bit of a shot in the dark. If I like it I will follow up with the Honey, the Seaweed and the Sheep-flavored...

Need a recommendation

Hi Everyone, I know asking for a recommendation for a shave cream/soap is kinda ridiculous in that there are so many good choices out there, but I am stuck as to what to buy/use next. My current status is tired of Proraso (and menthol in general), the Speick stick lather is not slick enough, and the...

WTT: Taylor Avocado for Italian soft soap

I have a tub of TOBS Avocado, used once, we did not get along. Looking to trade for Italian soft soap, a la Cella, Valobra, Razorock. Almond scent would be nice. Let me know!

On this subject, I was wondering if anyone out there has tried the D.R. Harris Bay Rum Hair Tonic, especially the version without oil. I searched the archives but could not find anything. Thanks!

Wow, no replies. I actually shouldn't be surprised as the research connecting Aluminum and Alzheimer's is inconclusive, and we all have to make our own decision as to whether or not to use Alum(inum). As much as I enjoyed it I decided to give up my Alum as there are alternatives available. Mod, you ...

Alum Block = Alzheimer's?

I have recently been enjoying Alum both as an "aftershave" (rub on, wait a minute, rinse) and under my pits too as an effective deodorant. I am wondering if anyone here has researched the connection between Alum(inium) and Alzheimer's, and satisifed their curiousity as to whether the long term use o...

Here's an odd question: I ordered some of this Arko based on Crackstar's fabulous recommendation. Let's suppose just for the heck of it I wanted to combine said Arko Ice Mint with some shaving soap to make the proverbial Superlather. Overkill probably, but I would be interested in what soaps might b...

WTT: Derby blades for soaps/creams

Hi folks, long time no talk. I have 95 Derby blades that I would like to trade for soaps and/or creams that you might want to unload and that might be of interest to me. Make me an offer! CONUS only. It would be nice to trade all 95 blades in one fell swoop, but will entertain all offers. Thanks!

Cellular shades at Home Depot?

So my wife and I are getting new blinds/shades courtesy of our kindly landlord, and we really like the cellular shades that are out there now. Does anyone have any experience with them? Also, Home Depot offers 4 brands: Levolor, Bali, Hampton Bay, and of course one other one that eludes me now (and ...

Need a scrubby brush for MWF

Thanks to the recent generosity of sgtrecon212, I am now hooked on both Van Der Hagen and in particular Mitchell's Wool Fat. Can someone recommend a scrubby (stiffer), reasonably priced brush for MWF? I am leaning toward Vulfix because my badger has been bulletproof over 6+ years, but all suggestion...

Anything interesting in Stockholm?

My stepson is currently in Stockholm till January 22nd, and I was wondering if anyone here knows if there is any interesting or inexpensive shave cream or soap to be had in the local drugstores there. Florena? Speick? Palmolive? Sven's Super Shave Cream? Girl with Dragon Tattoo badass shaving soap? ...
