I agree with Gordon on this, as some of you may have read in my earlier posts I spent a fortune on these so called facial washes, toners, moisturisers etc, and I can tell you it did more damage than good. Keep it simple, I no longer use anything, just warm water on my face once a day and my shave, s...

Shaved today with the Proraso and used the feather blade. Very nice shave the feather was fine in my gillette tech, 2 passes very smooth shave cut through my face like butter. Much milder in the tech than in the futur I used to have, the feather messed up my face in the futur, but in the tech was a ...

Just an update. I received another crap pot of Taylors cream, the cream is rock hard, i would need a hammer to smash it. The last pot of lemon lime I had was not good, but the almond one was great. As I cant use the taylors, I just went and got some Proraso locally here and some feathers, will load ...

Getting hit is not nice, so yeah for me at the moment its just hitting the focus pads and bags learning technique etc, have no plans to get my head knocked off :)

Squire, here we can get the Feathers, merkur, treet, crystal, IP's, derby, lord. No one really locally has ever had the Iridiums or Gillette Yellows which were the blades I was looking too. I could order the Gillette yellows from west coast. As Mitsimonsta said its around 2 weeks delivery which is f...

You should definitely take it up, the fitness and conditioning you get out of it is great. Like you I have done a few martial arts, also did wing chun, very strange art, judo and brazillian jiu jitsu too hard on my knees. Did taekwondo for 5 years, but thats more kicking and more focus on patterns a...

Does anyone here do boxing for fitness or in the ring

Hi All,

Just took up boxing at the age of 35 after doing other martial arts for many years. I have no desire to box in the ring, but for fitness is great, and I am enjoying learning how to box.

Just wanted to know if anyone else here does this also?

Hi Gordon, For me I found the almond gave a much better comfortable shave, I felt there was more cushion and the almond was significantly more comfortable. The rose was not bad, but the almond in my opinion was significantly better. For me the lemon/lime was not good at all, the cream seemed very ha...

Thanks for the recommendations, I have a Gillette Tech so I may try the feathers, I did try these once in my old Merkur Futur but they cut my face up, needless to say most blades did in that razor. I may give the feathers one more go in the more gentler tech and see how I go, if not will go for the ...

Which almond cream

Hi All, I recently just finished a pot of taylors almond, I really enjoyed this cream and got a much nicer and smoother shave out of it than I got from the Taylor Rose or the Taylors lemon/lime which I was not a fan of at all. What other nice almond creams are there, I was looking at either the true...

Murray,

Thanks for your advice, Treet Platinum Super Stainless is a blade I can get very easy locally in small packs and packs of a 100, so I may get a box and give these a go.

Have you used the Crystal, how do the treets compare for you?

Personna Red Pack or Crystal Israeli Personna

Hi All, I am from Australia, and it is hard to get many of the blades locally. I was using the Derby blades, but I don't enjoy those or the Merkur blades. The feathers beat up my face too much. The blades I was looking at locally were the Personna Red Pack and on another website I can get the Crysta...

I agree with a previous poster, I was nearly set to give up DE shaving too. I used a Merkur Futur then a Merkur HD, they tore my face up, I tried different blades and creams etc to no avail. I then went back to a Mach 3 turbo for 12 months. As I live in Australia the cost of blades was about $22 for...
