Thanks! I may have to try AOS and Taylor and give the Trumpers a try just to experiment.
I bought so much shave gear years ago I haven’t had to order anything in years. It’s fun to be shopping again!

Sorry to resurrect old thread but good to see you Gil, I'm back myself after a long hiatus! My faves these days are: razor: Feather AS-DS1, with a cart Schick 3 for touch ups. blade: I shift around, still have a ton of stock of Wilks, Gillettes, Personna 74...set for life. brush: still love my Simps...

L'occitane Lavender bath soap, the big bar. I've tried and like all they have, the Milk Soap, Verbene.
Great soaps, really like them.

Ahh..the excitement of starting over!
I like all my current stuff but I miss the days of experimenting with new gear and finding what works and doesn't.
Hope you find the 'grail' again!

Re: Art of Shaving (AOS) Rose Absolute Shaving Cream
Gary,
Thanks for the info, I'm always on the lookout for good rose products. I missed out on this one when came out, glad to hear able to try it out, maybe AOS may do this one again some day?
In the meantime I have a few tubes of Coate's Rose in my hoard that I use sometimes.

Re: Question for the scent Mavens
Although discontinued, if you can find QEDman Pine and Cedarwood shave soap it may be a contender.
Been years since I had it but I recall it basically smelling like a cedar chest full of pine cones and very strong.

Re: Coates Availiable
Thanks for the update, Roger. I have bought a few of these off and on. He must have thousands of them in stock. Tempted to get a few more (curious about the tea tree and almond) but I still have a decent supply of the sandalwood, lime and lavender. They are a perfect size for travel. Recommend both...

Re: Coates Availiable
I have several of these travel tubes that I got a few years ago. I'm still going through my stash, haven't had any problems with any of them. Still great creams and the scents have held up, and I haven't had any problems yet with any dehydrated tubes. Still recommend these old Coates...get em while ...

Re: For the Old Timers: Best Value* Wet Shaving Products?
Vulfix #374 Super Badger brush! I still have a few Rooney's and Simpsons, but I end up using the Vulfix more often. I was tired of spending alot of time in the AM soaking and lathering then cleaning the bigger, denser brushes, was looking for smaller to use more quickly. The Vulfix fits the bill perf...

Re: Pawns stars shamelessy tries to pulloff a DE razor
Hey, he could be pitching the latest 7 blade cartridge system, so it's not all bad. I do think the price is too high, esp with the bogus shipping, but this could all be worse. Maybe we can negotiate? "It's $19.99" "How about $5? It's just a stinkin Weishi" "I'll do $15"...
