Darn it... I meant to point out the lip that is on the scuttle. You can see it in the colorful scuttles and my CAT scuttle.
It's just enough to prevent overflow. You hardly notice it. Beauty is subtle at times.

Mehdi, the scuttle does not overflow with lather. This is among the first concerns that Georgetown Pottery addressed with the revisions they did. I thought the band referred to the band of the handle.
Lately I'm thinking it has to do with the bands on the bristles.
