I'm sure someone would part with one..... the question is how open is your cheque book ;)

My opinion, not worth it unless you are a serious collector.

So much to catch up on :) It has stood the test of 4 months... no other razor since I got it and it's even more amazing than when I wrote what I did in March. Back to single pass shaves on 2.5-3 and great shave every time. On the weekend I was looking at the under bench cupboard at my harem of razor...

For the past 4 months that I've had it, the Gold Futur is my one and only razor I have used. Nothing, simply nothing else is like it. Derby Extra and dial it to 2.5-3 depending on mood and just one pass WTG gives me a beautiful shave every morning. If I want BBS I just do a XTG second pass and that'...

My Last Razor...

Hello again gents, I posted recently about the last 6 months of shaving with a Merkur Progress set on 4-4.5 with one pass shaves. I honestly thought that I had peaked there... and that I wouldn't ever need to think any more on it. That was until 2 weeks ago when fate took me into the only shaving or...

I love the alum block... really is like the icing on a great shave. I like the feeling and ritual of using it... and have never had a trace of redness on my neck since beginning to use it... These days I hardly get a sting out of it... it almost feels like a waste of time... but it has an antiperspi...

I think it's fantastic that you are already getting positive results in 3 shaves. All of us have the learning curve to contend with... but it's worth it... you'll see. My little tip is to do a mock shave or two... lather up... will improve your lathering skill... and use a bladeless razor to get you...

Yep... one of the most memorable animal cruelty videos I've watched is from my childhood watching men clubbing baby seals to death.... white animals with white snow drenched in steaming blood... I'd say the badgers are probably bludgeoned to death too... but the consolation is that the meat is undou...

I smoked for 6 or 7 years... and haven't now for the same amount... I also found it a bit surprising Gordon smoked... the first few images... a pipe smoking gentleman in a smoking jacket... then a headbanded hippy with a different type of smoke... ;) I must say that I did try snus a couple of years ...

Nice find! Nice condition razors are a paradox in a way. I've always wondered whether they are pristine because they just didn't perform to the original owners expectation and are therefore lousy shavers.... Many would say they have had some of their best shaves from razors that look really beat up....

The President is the silver (maybe rhodium version) of the Aristocrat and for a while was my favourite razor. In my time I have searched ebay many times and found some decent bargains. The Aristocrat was the only razor I got fed up of looking for and paid the going rate. You have done well, and are a better Aristofinder than I. Don't we all have the endless ebay search stories... I'm just glad my searches ...

My stainless-knob Mergress is probably my best shaving DE razor. I also like my EJ Chatsworths a lot, but the Mergress seems to deliver consistently close and irritation free shaves. I don't know what it is about the Progress - maybe it's the head angle or the configuration of the safety bar, but t...

The last 6 months... adjustables.

It's been a while since I last posted but I felt that I must write about my latest shaving 'adventures' now that I have about 18 months of DE shaving under my belt... The biggest changes have been in the last 6 months or so since I bought one of my last razors... the Merkur Progress. Shortly after t...

I have one but have never used it, some shavers use it post shave and they my chime in, it's cheap and useful in the event you ever find a use. Squire, its ironic that the thing that originally made me go for a block of alum was finding it on a legal regalia supplies website that I happened on when...

I use my own blend of Turkish cologne and witch hazel. The cologne I buy from a local delicatessen that sells continental products and the one I have is EST (Eyup Sabri Tuncer) though they bring in various brands depending on what's available. My 500 mL bottle has lasted me 18 months already and I s...
